...last weekend? I gave torbee ample time but he failed us. Mine would be Oskar Blues IPA from Colorado. I thought it was outstanding. Whatcha got?

One of the better TG brews.

Jelly, this is now your job as far as I'm concerned.

I popped this at the opening kickoff of the game. Instantly on my top 3 all-time list. After the game, made a mad search for more. Sold out everywhere.

We went to the Amana Colonies Oktoberfest last Friday. I had a couple of these and then bought a sampler pack from them. I don't care all that much for Millstream beers but it's the best/only I had all weekend

Nice furniture. I can only assume you're over 60 years old.

Fresh hop beers are in season right now in the Northwest, and the best one I had last weekend was Fremont Brewing's Cowiche Canyon fresh hop on tap. Fresh hop beers are definitely one of the great things about living here.

I was there Saturday. I had a couple ten of their Oktoberfest.

That was a good one too. They're overpriced in my opinion, but beggars can't be choosers. We bought some of the wine at the Village Winery over by Millstream. That stuff will give you diabetes its so sweet. Apple wine is my favorite though.

Spiced rum and ginger ale has been on the menu at our house recently. Not a fancy cocktail by any stretch, but it's a pretty good one.

I used to love that beer when I lived in Iowa. But then I had it on tap in Iowa City and was severely disappointed. May have been a bad batch, I'm not sure.

A furniture expert AND an inside source for breaking any and all Hawkeye news way before anyone else does?

That's called winning.

It's a picture I grabbed off the internet. I don't photograph every beer I drink, dickhead. And great point about the fresh hops. Great time of the year to drink beers. Frankly, I don't think the couple days it takes beer to get from the west to the midwest hurt that much. I'm pretty satisfied with the beers available right here in little ol' Ioway. Whether they be western or midwestern. Lot of great beers to be had.

So you posted a photograph you didn't take of a beer that you did? That seems odd.

And yes, the transportation of the fresh hops does make a difference. If they aren't used within about 24 hours, they start to mold and change.

I think at this point, SP could come in strong with the best post in internet history, but the damage is already done.....

Really like their Hefeweizen and Shild Brau

The Shild Brau isn't terrible and was included in the sampler. There was also a German Pilsner in there. They aren't terrible beers but not something I'm putting in a "build your own 6 pack" at HyVee for example.

Tried this on the rocks with a pickle. Pretty good overall, but not worth the price tag IMO.

We're starting to get a lot of craft distilleries in Colorado. Whiskey, gin etc. Leopold Brothers makes a pretty good small batch gin.

I thought the Double IPA wasn't too shabby. I have never been a big Millstream fan and hadn't had any of their beers in awhile, but I would certainly have that again.

Been drinking boxed red wine for the past couple weeks. Been painting the whole main level of the house. Just so everyone knows red wine is the best beverage while indoor painting IMHO. You paint for 3o minutes and come back to the same drink. No warm beer or watered down mixed drink.

Rogue may be one of the coolest settings for a brewery ever. But none of their beers have wowed me. And I haven't had a single speed I thought was worth a crap, other than some brown coffee ale that was decent.

I'm sorry, but there are a lot of beers that have never wowed me, especially in the NW. That doesn't mean they aren't good beers. IMO, west coast beers have always been overrated.

Posts a picture of one of the most overrated breweries in the Midwest, if not America. Then calls West Coast beers overrated! That's very humorous.

The overwhelming majority of beer drinkers would disagree with you. But hey! What do you know? You think Green Flash is something to brag about.

It's pointless to argue with Steve about beer. I have said many times on this site that I like what I like and Mr. Patrick is not going to influence that one way or the other.

I'm going to switch to this for the Illinois game. Usually a tito's drinker. The best thing that ever came out of Texas.

Big fan of G&T. I'm never picky when it comes to vodka though. How much does that Tito's go for?

Like $35 for the big bottle. Comparable to any top shelf brand. I'm not sure I could pick it out if you gave me a blind test with Absolute, Gray Goose and kettle one, but there is most definitely such a thing as good vodka. The good stuff doesn't have that hair spay flavor and is smooth like water.

Probably because you regularly hype single speed, which in general is crap. That, on top of you hyping rogue beer, proves your beer taste is not to be followed. Just like your marriage or relationship advice.
