I haven't been to Taste of India for awhile. Still on Old Marion Road NE? Last time we went was probably Spring 2016 and service was SLOW and this was early (5:30 or so). Food was good though and they forgot to charge us for the bottle of wine (or we were comped, maybe) so it wasn't a total loss.Cedar Rapids: Siamville (Thai), Wasabi (Sushi & Tempura downtown), Taste of India, Leonardo's Pizza
Iowa City: You HAVE to do barbecue there. It's the mini-Kansas City now. Mosley's BBQ, Pop's BBQ, Jimmy Jack's Rib Shack.

For Cedar Rapids I'd add Black Sheep Social Club and White Star Ale House (don't know if they have a website). Been to each several times and always have had good meals. I could have just been lucky too, I guess, as I'm sure there are some who've had horrible meals.
La Regia or El Paso have some of the best tacos in the midwest. Cabeza or lengua .
Szechuan House for Chinese.
Sun Cafe is a great Vietnamese place. The Pho is really good and the smoked duck is excellent.
Oasis falafel is one of my favorites.
Nodo is good for lunch.
Both Pullman (IC) and Big Grove(North Liberty ) have incredibly talented chefs that do a great job.
Good luck finding this place though. Both Pullman (IC) and Big Grove(North Liberty ) have incredibly talented chefs that do a great job.
Not even the best tacos in Iowa. Good, but not the best.

That's what Carlos O'Kelly is for!
I want to like your post because I know you're joking, but I can't bring myself to do it. That's how much I hate Carlos O'Kelly's. Don't take it personal.
IDK, but I could go for a Vine Stein and some wings right now. From the IC location, for nostalgia.

Anyone that goes to the Coralville location is a square.

Not even the best tacos in Iowa. Good, but not the best. They do get points for authenticity.
I will second Oasis. It's very good.
Heading there this weekend and looking to try something new and tasty. Any good suggestions?
Well it's like a 5 minute walk to Carver soooooo....

I know and I'll be a square before the basketball game Sunday. It just feels wrong going to the Coralville location if I'm not going to Carver.
The Lost Cuban in Cedar Rapids. Fantastic food.
Ok that's fair. I rarely go out in IC but if I do it's for a basketball game and the Vine or Wig just make sense, especially from a parking perspective.
Best high end food; Joseph's steakhouse in iowa city with baroncini a close second
Best hawkeye atmosphere with good food; the vine in Coralville
Best under the radar place for sandwiches; nodo in iowa city
Impossible! I like the White Star Ale House, too.I liked the White Star Ale House in downtown Cedar Rapids.

Forgot about the Wig and Pen and their nationally famous flying tomato pizza...

La Juanita's
If I ever have a reason to be in that part of the state I'll give it a try, until then la regia is tops in my rankings.
I thought Baroncini closed. And for what you get at Joseph's it's hella overpriced. If you want an expensive steakhouse I think Ruthie's at the Riverside Casino is better.
My votes for Iowa City would be for Atlas, Northside Bistro (get the seafood risotto if it's on the menu), or Orchard Green.
Was just there two or three weeks ago it's open. Popoli's in Cedar Rapids is good for Italian also.
