Best LOL Clone moment?

Guy in front of us was popping off from kickoff. Midway through the second quarter he got quiet. He left early in the third quarter, only to reappear in the fourth (3 tall boys later) declaring, "I'm not a quitter."

Lol clones...
How did he get back in the stadium?

Not calling you a liar, but your story has a few holes in it.

I was was laughing throughout the game at the guy on here who was claiming ISU has a top 10 backfield.

There is also the guy on fanatic that stated the ISU running back is so much better than Iowa's backs and it's not even close.

Ummmm....oooookkkkaaayyy, fellas. Whatever you say.

We honestly barely noticed the clones. They had nothing to cheer about.

I noticed that they did not seem well disciplined or well prepared. How many pretty good pass plays were nullified by a lineman down field?
The fourth quarter might have as well been cancelled.
So far, Rhoads looked like a much better coach for them.

Bunch of those twits got cuffed last night in downtown IC. One got mouthy with an IC officer as his buddy was recording with his phone daring the officer to throw down.

They still can point to the enrollment sign and say "scoreboard bitches".

Congrats to the Hawks. Very very very good team. ISU was completely out of their league. I watched the game at a local restaurant/bar in CR - fans on both sides were nothing but cordial + respectful to each other. At worst, it was good natured ribbing. All fan bases have their fair share of dbags that give the entire fan base a bad name. I am still hopeful that Campbell can get things going. It certainly wont happen this year. If recruiting improves, ISU may see better days. Time will tell. Last night reminded me of beat downs from 80s + 90s. Who ever said ISU fans deserve better is correct. Best of luck to Iowa the rest of the way.

Wasn't at the game, but when I heard that one of their recruits decommitted from them after his official visit, I lol'ed pretty hard.
Had not heard this. Can you divulge which one? If true that is too bad for Campbell and his staff. Never want to add a second embarrassment on top of a first one.

There was a lady in our section piping up about basketball... in the second quarter. She said something about how Iowa basketball is the same as ISU football. I just laughed. Yes, a team that has been ranked every year in the last 3 is the same as ISU football.

I knew that isu was not good. But,I was surprised just how bad they were. This looks to be a long and it season for them.
I knew they were bad after the UNI game. Not because they lost but how the lost. I was confident of the game this year for first time in a long time.

Yeah I didn't believe it either. But his buddy, Iowa fan, showed me a text he received of the guy drinking Coors light. I guess he could have made it up, but I'm not sure why he would?

I will say, by that time in the fourth quarter the folks at the gate aren't super strict. It wouldn't shock me if he just walked back in without anyone noticing or gave a somewhat believable reason to get back in and they didn't care.

I would have believed him. What could have possibly made a Clone fan WANT to go back into the stadium at that point?

if we want to dig up stuff from the past, I would go with this tweet. love mitch kings response

Feel sorry for ISU fans and would like their football team do well in the Big 12. They do sell out their home games pretty well. Compared to a Northwestern or Indiana in the Big 10 who play fairly good football yet their stands are barely half full. Since Iowa has to play ISU, it would be better if they were a good Big 12 team.

Have a feeling they won't be selling out any games this year or coming close to it. Least new end zone seats sell alcohol. Actually last year Iowa and uni games only sell outs. This year uni just short of a sellout. Played TCU and okie St both top 10 undefeated at the time and night game vs Texas last year and none were within 5K of a sellout.

ISU fans are no different than our fans. Some are smart. Some are idiots. Some talk smack. Some like good discussion.

I've come across plenty of not-so-classy Hawk fans.

What would they be playing for? LOL

They played when their qb was sacked, when they failed to convert a 3rd down, when Iowa got a 20 yard gain, when they threw the pick, etc... they... never... stopped... I didn't hear our band (or even our piped in music) the entire night outside of halftime.
I can't ever hear the music very well anyway.
