Little hole in the wall places that make their food from scratch and have their own unique dishes.
Not necessarily but if any of you guys have eaten at any of them featured on the show it would be interesting. I've eaten at Leonard's BBQ and Gus's Famous Chicken in Memphis...and Lambert's in Sikeston, Mo.If you are referring to places that have been on the show, Hodad’s in San Diego makes one hell of a burger. If you mean any diner, drive-in, or dive, The King’s Chef Diner in Colorado Springs has the best breakfast burrito with green chili anywhere.
The Nook. Minneapolis.

.
I don't know if it has been featured on DDD but Arthur Bryant's in KC is dynamite.
I cannot name a favorite, so I will simply pitch out some of the ones that really stood out, and that I've visited multiple times.
1. Threes Sisters, Indianapolis. Been there twice and would never drive through Indy without stopping.
2. Dell Rhea's, Willowbrook, IL. Been there maybe 6-7 times. It's right off of I-55, and since I go to Chicago a lot it's easy to stop at.
3. The Brick, Kansas City, MO.
4. Gordy's, Cloquet, MN. Literally one of the best burgers ever, but it's 15 miles from Duluth, so you gotta work to get there.
4. Duluth Grill, Duluth, MN. Wonderful food served by tall blond gals the day I was there.
5. 90 Miles Cuban Cafe, Chicago.
6. Glenn's Diner, Chicago.
7. Irazu, Chicago.
8. BB's Lawnside BBQ, Kansas City, MO. A freaking dump in an industrial area. Bathrooms literally un-usable, but a tremendous atmosphere when they are having live music and the food was excellent.
9. Highway 61 Roadhouse, St. Louis, MO.
Oddly enough I have only been to two of the Des Moines locations. George the Chili King and Mi Patria. Both were really fun experiences. George's was neat because George was there holding court, and the guy working the flat top was a walking health code violation. Super fun to see my daughter have to walk behind the counter to get to the bathroom and come out wide-eyed because it's not exactly modern and clean. Mi Patria was really good. I will definitely go back some day. I was supposed to go to Tacopocalypse yesterday but a sick kid sidetracked me. I will definitely knock off Patton's and Tacopocalypse on trips to see the I-Cubs this Summer. Taking the wife and kids to see the Book of Mormon in May, so we may hit one of them or the Flying Mango on that trip.
Oddly enough I have never been to Kuma's Korner, it's so close to Wrigley it's a natural for me, but it's just too far for me to walk from my buddies place that I stay with when I go to Cubs games. They have opened one in Schaumburg so I may go there some weekend I am forced to see the MIL.
I don't want to eat D, ask natural though.

No...I went to the original location downtown.I assume you stayed away from the original location and went to the one that is located at the casino.
Very friendly people...and to top off the day I went to the Truman Library. I ordered their sauce for years...I'm surprised they let you in the door with that sheet on your head.
