Since a large percentage of Trumps $$$ is going towards legal bills...the gap is larger than the numbers suggest.

Recent polls have given Democrats good reason to feel gloomy and anxious about President Joe Biden’s chances of winning re-election. But there’s an important area in which Biden is outstripping former President Donald Trump: money.

Biden and the Democratic Party have a significant cash advantage over Republicans at the moment. That could change in the coming months, but so far it’s a sign that Democratic donors are reasonably engaged with the party and that Republicans have some financial vulnerabilities. If Democrats maintain their relatively strong financial position it will give them an edge in the run-up to Election Day.

Biden’s main campaign committee started 2024 with about $46 million in cash on hand, significantly more than Trump’s $33 million, according to Federal Election Commission filings. To be clear, Biden’s lead over Trump isn’t massive, and around the same point in the 2020 election cycle then-President Trump had a whopping $102.7 million in cash on hand. But there are a number of reasons that Biden’s financial advantage may be particularly durable.

This and losing Kevin McCarthy’s Rolodex is going to cost the GOP the House. And keep the Senate close.
McCarthy was a huge loss on this front for the R's.

its as if the 8 Republicans who voted against him don’t have a freaking clue. If Kevin was still there. They could continue to cause trouble and kick him around to fundraise. And still maintain a seat in the party with power.
Instead he’s gone and no longer gives them a scapegoat. Plus other members who depended on Kevin’s cash to remain in office now are waiting for the right time to dump your ass.

Charlie Kirk and the other nuts are draining away small dollar support, and Trump has already signaled that he's going to oust Ronna Romney McDaniel, so that has put a damper on spirt at the RNC.

Tossing Kevin was idiotic....but then again Gaetz is pretty idiotic.

Say what you want, but Kevin was pragmatic. Realized what could and couldn't be done with a slim majority in one of the three legislative bodies. Willing to cut a deal. He knew the objective was to gain control of the other 2 (senate, executive)

Johnson? Not so much.

D's probably end up controlling all 3 which is fine with Gaetz. He's just interested in being a chaos agent.

Johnson is a loon. The hundreds of hours of podcasts confirmed that. The second and third century was not the peak of anything. Let alone religion.

Charlie Kirk is becoming the new Pat Robertson. Can get him on your TV without cable. Dude is going to be seriously wealthy.

Idk if the article mentioned, but one difference regarding fundraising is that Trump had a 2 year lead time - he registered almost immediately after being sworn in.
