This makes no sense. Trump has absolute power to weaponize the DoJ for any political purposes he wants. To claim that it's "immaterial" that he is threatening over and over that he will jail his political opponents is pure nonsense.

I reluctantly voted for Biden in 2020. He surprised me with some good actions in his first 2 years on the pandemic, the environment, and rebuilding foreign alliances, but then disappointed down the home stretch (for a number of reasons but especially over Gaza and failing to withdraw from the race early enough to matter).

But the dam has broken and in four years we’re going to have more, and pretty soon we’ll have blanket pardons for Cabinet members and high-ranking officials all across the outgoing administration and Congressional allies.
We need more checks on bad behavior, not less.
None of these people did anything wrong. Some will obviously accept a pardon if for nothing else to avoid tremendously expensive litigation including huge legal (lawyer) fees. All will rightfully so insist upon their innocence.

Within three years of HIS OWN administration, he went from talking about we need to “trust and respect the system and let it play out”, swearing how his DOJ would never be used to target people, to a complete 180 saying the system that found his son guilty was politicized and weaponized, leading him to pardon his son. Shocker I know.
If he’s gonna pre-emptive pardon these people, at least have the decency to say it’s because “I don’t want the next DOJ to be like my own DOJ.”

First, you are ignoring the part that you have to be reprehensible not to understand the vileness of Trump's threats. I guess you acknowledge that.
Second, it is 100% relevant. If a group of people have not committed any crime, but an incoming President makes clear he intends to attack them with the full weight of the government, it is completely appropriate to protect them if you can. Again:
- Trump intends to pardon criminals
- Biden intends to pardon innocent people
This isn't complicated or morally ambiguous.
Perhaps some of them actually did do something wrong,.. If so, they can still be investigated and potentially proven guilty in the court of public opinion,.. That would be a great final chapter for Biden.

Trump has pledged to go after people for purely political reasons, he hasn't cited any crimes when he makes these threats, only that these people should be investigated and jailed because they oppose or defied him.
These threats against people solely for opposition/defiance should have been automatically disqualifying for Trump to get elected as local dog catcher, but the political culture of this country has become so degraded and degenerate over the last 8 years that it apparently didn't matter. As just one of a zillion other examples of the degeneracy, the committing of a fraud in the paying of hush money to a porn star he boffed shortly after his latest wife gave birth--people like you couldn't care less about either the debauchery of the episode itself or the committing of the fraud, in fact you have used it to ATTACK the perceived political opposition.
Just look at the last 72 hrs, Trump has launched an unprecedented grifting operation to enrich himself personally and set up another direct bribery option for domestic and foreign individuals/entities.
