Big 10 Tourney Seeding Predictor

Someone might have already posted this, but I thought you guys might find this interesting in regards to how the Big 10 seeding could potentially turn out and the ability to change the final games to see the different outcomes.

Winning out would be preferred, but its not required for Iowa to get the bye. I found it surprising how much work Wisconsin still has to do to get to a bye

Not me, they were god awful until 4 weeks ago. I am shocked they beat us to be honest, terrible loss.

I got us as the 5 seed, as i predicted us go 1-2.

I will give that site credit for still predicting us to win that last game AT Meechigan tho.

They have more faith than I do apparently.

Since the Badgers have gotten their act together, they gave won 9 out of their last 10 and upset 4 top ten teams. No one will want to play them come tourney time.

So we could end up anywhere from 1-8. What's wierd is its not just hypothetical, 14-4 through 11-7 all seem relatively plausible.

Not even IU is guaranteed a double bye yet; in a 13-5 five way tie they'd be 5th. At least we'd be 3rd in that scenario with Wiscy #2, not MSU

If Iowa can go 2-1 they will be a double bye scenario. If we lose all 3, then we are getting into danger mode.

The big issue is how they determine the tie-breakers. Its crazy that Iowa does hold the "trump" card in beating MSU. So any ties or any thing having to do with MSU Iowa will have the tie breaker.

Iowa just has to take care of business. OSU is going to come out guns a blazing tomorrow, Iowa has to play better and knock downs some shots. Is it bad for me to think, this team plays better on the road, than it does in Carver?

They do, davenport. I think they seem tight at home quite often. At home it seems they either have things cooking and shots falling or they tighten up. On the road they seem more relaxed (except in the final minutes of a close game of course )

A lot of people outside of Iowa have more faith than we do. Vitals just said he has Iowa in the elite 8!!! Apparently he hasn't been watching lately.

Based on the following assumptions for other games:
PU over UNL, Wisc over Minny, MSU over Rut, Mary over Illini, PSU over NU (though UNL and Minny could win)
IU over Mary, MSU over OSU, Minny over Rut, NU over UNL, PSU over Illini, PU over Wisc (though Wisc and Maryland could win)

Here's what our seed would be if we:
2-0: #2 seed (tied with MSU for 2nd place), NU vs OSU in 7-10 game
1-1 (beating UM): #5 seed (tied with Maryland, PU, & Wisc for 3rd place), Minny vs Illini in 12-13 game
1-1 (beating IU): #4 seed (tied with Maryland, PU & Wisc for 3rd place), Illini vs Minny in 12-13 game then #5 PU
0-2: #7 seed (tied with OSU & UM for 6th place), vs NU & winner gets MSU

If we beat IU, without any other real upsets, we can be no worse than #5. I was hoping a win vs IU would secure at least a 4-seed, but no.

Only chance at #1 seed involves Illini upsetting Maryland, I believe.
