I'm not a big fan of this event, but they're going to play the games, so what say you?

I believe the Iowa Drake game will be over early, but Iowa will play a lot of reserves in the second half to keep it relatively close. I will say Iowa by 15.

Despite UNI's win over UNC, I think they are rebuilding to some degree this season and the only thing that will keep it close is if ISU comes out rather lackadaisical. In the end, I would pick the Clones by 18.

Not sure what the official lines is on these games, but I would bet both Iowa and ISU cover for what it's worth.

UNI has taken 5 of the last 7 vs the clones with the last 2 losses being in OT. Disagree about rebuilding. Certainly they are not as good as last year, but they have 4 really good guards, and the only thing holding them back is rebounding, or at least I really don't think they'll be better off next year anyway.

5 point game.

Iowa State has come out lackadaisical a lot so far this season. I think it will be close but like you I don't see Iowa State losing this game. Iowa should blow out Drake after several days of having the ISU loss fester.

Iowa went toe-to-toe with Clown U, so I see no reason why UNI won't, either. Plus you have the usual "chip on their shoulder" angle that always gets played up when UNI gets a crack at the big boys.

UNI is very shorthanded. They have 9 scholarship players, but only 8 play. With basically 7 being the only ones you would want to play... Depends on how the game flow is. But is still see UNI doing something

Drake wouldn't beat Iowa under any circumstances. Iowa by double figures. The Clones and UNI will be a decent game with the Clones winning by double figures.

As somebody pointed out, UNI is 5-2 in the last 7 games against ISU, and both losses were in overtime. This is the first decent opponent ISU has played since 'Nads left the lineup. The fans from UNI, Drake and Iowa will be very vocal against ISU.

Just sayin'......

Must be nice knowing that your program is the most despised in the state. And, no, it isn't because of the quality of the players.

Maybe it's the fact that we are the only ranked team in the state, Top 5 no less??? Since you have a mediocore basketball program, no team really hates you. They just expect to beat you.

ISU on the road is not nearly the team they are at home. If they get down double digits don't expect the home court refereeing they see in Ames. Plus away from Ames the water tastes like ASS. If UNI is shooting well I could see it being a close game either way. If UNI does not shoot really well the clones will roll them.

Because making the tournament 24 times in program history is mediocre...maybe you should look at ISU basketball before Johnny decided he wanted more money than he was getting at Michigan.

Again, ISU sleepwalks until 10 minutes left in the game. If they actually played with the same intensity as they do once they're down with 10 minutes left, they'd blow teams out. Such a weird team.
