BIG PLAY BY WAGNER

It took a string of clutch plays by Hawks to make up that deficit. The Wagner play was freaking miracle. Usually as Iowa fan of many years, I expect an Iowa guy might step in front of that pass..but and bounce the ball off his own foot and out of bounds...no way does an Iowa guy steal that ball and then drive to hoop and make difficult lay in.

Bump again. Just watched the last few minutes. Wagner's plays were what set the stage for Pemsl's offensive rebound and J-Big-Nuts-Bo's three.

not to be a debbie downer, but didn't he shuffle his feet and travel before he took off? LOL
Yep, after he got the steal and before he drove to the basket, he took about six small steps in the corner getting his balance.

Wagner set us up to win,... couldn't have done it without him....

Wagner was huge. Love his game.
He is so athletic, really wish he would work on a mid range jumper and improve his free throws. If he could score away from the basket it would open up a dribble drive for him, because he has a great first step. Hope he works on that this summer because he has so much upside with his speed and jumping ability.

FWIW, so does Moss, great athlete who will only get better. Played a little too fast tonight. Made some great steals but then got out of control forcing the action.

Indeed the future is bright.

Same thing for most of our bigs. Cook's free throw shooting has been way better the last few games than earlier this season (could be the finger issue) and Pemsl hit some yuge ones last night too. Having a big that can add that reliable 10-12 footer will open the door for a lot of things next year

Iowa going 11 deep starting to pay dividends. Very fresh team right now. The other Big Ten teams looked gassed. Happ looked absolutely exhausted last night.

Iowa could make a big run in the BTT

16 minutes, 2 points and 3 RB, 2 steals. Not real productive but the steal was huge!
We won because:
Iowa bench 24 - 4
Iowa 10 more boards
Wisky 5 - 14 on FT's

We had 19 TO's but escaped because of the above.

He actually made another bucket on a great move to the basket. Unfortunately, the refs waved it off and called a foul on the defender.

Wisconsin traveled on half of their possessions. They just don't call traveling as much as they did 20 years ago

I think you are allowed 7 small steps or 3 bigs ones. ;)

Super play by Wags. No fear. I think he is a great asset to the team.

I just wish he could shoot. :D

I was just hoping the Badgers wouldn't be smart a bear hug him on his way to the basket. Putting him on the FT line would have been the smart play. I don't believe Hawks were in double bonus and even it was double bonus it would have been the smart play.
