Hawkeye Followers, I do not know if you knew Bill or not. He wrestled 123 at Iowa. Bill and his wife Marlys were from Jesup, Iowa. A little over a week ago Bill had a heart attack and surgery, which was successful. However, days later, he had a stroke which effected his left side and ability to swallow. He was placed on oxygen and a feeding tube. Initially they thought he might recover although it would be a long road. However, he took a turn for the worse a few days later. Things worsened and a decision was made to remove the oxygen and feeding tube due to his projected quality of life. He passed away this evening (7/18/17). Bill taught and coached wrestling for years and later became a principal. He was always a fun loving guy with a big smile.

Thanks for the heads-up, 2575. Will say a prayer for Bill and his family.
