This is the best wrestling board - and i thank all of you.
A lot of ass slapping going on here, haha. I agree...we do have the best board with a good mix of knowledge, humor, and yes...sh*t talking. We don't have the veneer of civility...we actually practice it for the most part as long as a fan from another team comes correct.
We have our very own stats guy with an awesome site, multiple websites dedicated to Iowa wrestling (Hawktalk, Todd Conner), and emoji pros. Where else can you find close to 20 pages on a borderline starter, creative spelling, wedding planning for our recruits, annual board meltdowns, and Ray freaking Brinzer stopping by to talk about the old times and philosophy. Yes, we attract trolls but as an old coach once said, "Hater's gonna hate, hate,hate."

But only Iowa has you, MitchL, which is a WAY bigger problem than PSU, tOSU, OSU, Cornell, ISU, etc. combined could ever imagine.

And this type of comment is what I'm talking about. Why would this goof need to say anything related to the discipline of our board? MitchL is, from the posts I've read/recall, an Iowa wrestling fan. He has his own style and experience on this board, which some in fact take exception to from time to time. If he or any other Iowa wrestling fan gets out of line on OUR site then they usually get a dose of posts that let them know it. We police ourselves, and don't want or need outside guidance or lectures or innuendos stating otherwise.
We don't need and will never give a rat's a.. what a pen state apologize/denier says about one of our own. You don't come on this site and pompously disrespect an Iowa wrestling fan and think you will get away with it. It won't go unchallenged on my watch--never again. We've all seen what happens when pen staters think they can attack the weak without consequence. You are on notice your perverse attacks won't go unchallenged here.
well that's part of it, if you want jump on me, I can take it( a lot of times I deserve it,) but do not ever run down our boys, please show respect when it comes to the wrestlers.

I've ticked off a few people in my day and I won't apologize for it.Now... the PSU poster above, and most of the PSU posters for that matter, are kind of new to this wrestling discussion and being relevant again. They need a dose of humility from time to time. "Amalone" was the initial problem and a few followed. The biggest difference between the college forums is there is no other forum that allows the level of disagreement that this forum does. That's usually good because it would be pretty damn boring if everybody agreed with everyone else... all the time.
We keep it clean here. We can be sarcastic from time to time. I like that. We aren't afraid to criticize our own guys at times. Again, that's ok, imo.
The wrestlers know we are passionate. It's who we are.
I've had my disagreements with Mitch but he is not a straight up troll...like yourself.

lol...when He talks wrestling I really enjoy him...but If we met in person I would never tell him I am a PSU fan because I actually think he may call the cops and accuse me of Pedophilia, while slamming me with replicas of Iowa's Numerous championship trophies or a miniature Gable Statue.
We don't slam anybody with a miniature Gable statue. It's considered sacrilege. I'm glad we can have these cultural exchanges though. Cuts through the communication difference kind of like that book they wrote...Men are from Iowa and Women are from...Jeez, forgetting the title right now...Maybe I need the concussion protocol.
Don't consider myself a troll but perception is reality, so maybe I just can't see it. Personally, I love coming here to read all the commentary and feel BWI is enhanced by the HR posters over there...just my two cents. Just wondering if the "ignore" button is in order for the PSU troll? (I even like Mike T's commentary)
You a troll? No way. One of my favorite PSU guys. I can pretty much take anybody's opinion but they have to give it beyond "Cael is going to make you cry." Chuckles TGC (Lion8626) is like that. Hell, I even found myself agreeing with Nitlion once or twice.
