I do miss the days of him just crapping on anything Iowa related. Whenever I travel I try to remember to pack at least one Hawkeye shirt to take with me in his honor.

Torbee purports to have met him then, although personally, I think torbee sees him every time he looks in the mirror.

I think it was 2012 maybe but it was a Penn State game I went home. I think it might have been the time I met with a bunch of guys from this site in Des Moines but I can't be certain it was that weekend but anyway I think it was a Penn State game I went home to Iowa and went to the game in Iowa City and supposedly Steven Patrick was that that same game and met with Torbee there . I don't know if that ever happened but I know I went to the game. Penn State destroyed Iowa like probably 45 to 7 or something in the butt kicking.
I remember that game. Was tailgating across from Kinnick at 727 Melrose and got invited by some coeds to go inside and do some shots at half. Didn't see the second half.
I went back and looked it up it was like a 38-14 loss... Shots with coeds is probably always the better choice
Yeah that game sucked, Scherff went out for the season in the first quarter and another lineman got hurt like 2 plays later. Our offense looked worse than our '23 offense.

Indeed. That was Ferentz's last losing season @ 4-8, Vandenberg's senior year as I recall. We came into the PSU game at 4-2 after losing 9-6 to ISU & also lost to Central Michigan 32-31, then we proceeded to lose the last 6 games of the year. I wish I could wipe it all from my memory banks. Ooof.

Doesn't matter who the OC is. That's a Kirk Ferentz play. It's like a darkbootybuster or like wearing a sleeveless shirt on a warm day while eating sweet corn in Seattle.
He had a stint where he was tagging me in trash talk about Brandon Wegher because I was from NW Iowa, as though that somehow made me BW's cousin or something. It was really weird. Also: Seattle sweet corn > Iowa sweet corn.
