I don't know how he wouldn't considering he's missed almost 2 full years. I think he should shoot for whatever weight he feels best at. 157 makes sense since he's already weighing 160's, and Bo most likely slots in at 149.Does Block qualify for a Medical this year, being that he used his RS last year? I assume he will move to 49/57 on the depth chart with 4 years left. Assuming his days at 141 are behind him. Anyone know?

So Block is not the guy Shapiro was talking about last month?Just depends if he wants it or not. Will have to wait a few years before he can apply anyway.
IMHO, he will get wrecked at 157 unless he’s going to put In significant muscle. Not exactly something Iowa excels at doing.
Wouldn't put hopes on a guy that has been injured 2 years running. If he can do something - great. Not banking on it. Iowa should not look to him as "the answer". Sure hope he can get healthy and light it up.
Well we had this one guy with 3 repaired acl’s and a repaired shoulder.Anyone this fragile is likely not an answer.
He can likely never heal up. Might aswell throw him out with yesterday's news, right?Anyone this fragile is likely not an answer.
Michael Kemmerer is yet another example of a dude who had significant injuries, overcame them and became a dominant force. I believe Ben Keuter will be rehabbing an injury as well. You don’t have to back too far to find a number of examples of Hawks who overcame surgeries and were still dominant. Let’s not write him off just yet.Anyone this fragile is likely not an answer.
I'd say given the portal and recruiting targets, the coaches might not be expecting much?Michael Kemmerer is yet another example of a dude who had significant injuries, overcame them and became a dominant force. I have no idea how his recovery is going. My thought with Ryder is that at 5’ 11” he’s got a lot of length. At 149, I don’t know definitively that the Voinovich’s, Estrada or Jordan Williams are hands down better options than a healthy version of him. I also don’t know that if Block put on 20 pounds of good weight and competed for the 157 pound spot that all those guys mentioned would be better options there either. (Obviously a healthy Caliendo thst was able to effectively cut would eliminate any speculation for 157 in 2026). I’m excited and curious to see how it plays out.I'd say given the portal and recruiting targets, the coaches might not be expecting much?

Perhaps. I hope he’s healthy enough to at least give it a go.Seems to me that Block has done nothing in college other than tear up his knee a couple times so I’d say a couple guys who’ve been round of 12/16 seem definitively better than he is.
You can always count on Mitch to say stupid s****.Well we had this one guy with 3 repaired acl’s and a repaired shoulder.
Maybe rehabbing a knee injury and sucking a bunch of weight hampered his progress and caused another. Maybe hold off judgement.
No. The NCAA instituted rules a while back to take out all subjectivity. He wrestled past the midpoint of the season which automatically disqualifies him. No more than 30% of scheduled dates and cannot have competed in the second half of the season.Does Block qualify for a Medical this year, being that he used his RS last year? Beating Cullen means his floor is pretty high?????You can always count on Mitch to say stupid s****.
The kemdawg example is good. We have no idea what Blocks ceiling is. He beat Cullen at the beginning of the year even though he had very little mat time.
So that puts his floor pretty high. I don't see any reason we shouldn't be optimistic about his ceiling if he puts in the work.
You're a f****** idiot and anyone reading your posts should make note of it.Beating Cullen means his floor is pretty high?????
Wow, that's a major leap!
LOL
You have more words of wisdom?
