Storm brewing for Little Rock (and 174 lbs bracket)

Same, except my coach asked me to cut back down to 105 mid senior year “for the team.” That sucked.
Yikes. Where you at now? I was concerned about a HS buddy that was asked to make 112 from about 140. He’s very well adjusted at 60 and is in awesome shape at 155 I’m guessing.

127. Today I would describe myself as short and not fat. Back then I didn’t have to cut much pounds wise, but I didn’t have much to cut, ~10lbs at the time as my body fat percentage was really low.

I weighed 75 pounds during football season in 9th grade. Fattened up to 82 pounds for wrestling season. In 10th grade I cut from 110 to wrestle 98. Junior year I cut from 135 or so to 112. Made it to less than a pound from 105, but ended up suspended and in the hospital, so I went 112, screw what's best for the team. That is a story in and of itself. Senioir year I was around 140 in the off-season and wrestled 119 and 126 depending on how the opposing team stacked up. I've fluctuated between 145 and 215 in my adult life depending on my work and workout situations. Currently, with my nerve issues in my legs the past 19 months, I've ballooned to 210. It sucks getting old and feeble. I did make 125 (with a 3 pound allowance for clothing) in my mid-twenties for an old-timers tournament though.

I totally understand...I had to cut 8 pounds in 7th grade...which doesn't sound like much until you take into account that I started off at 88 pounds and was pretty lean at that. Making weight that season, and we took it pretty seriously, was pretty tough sledding. 10% of your body weight is a tough pull.

i made 105 after weighing 133 at certifications.

i paid my dues. i'm staying fat hereafter.
you are a man who sets goals and then accomplished those goals !! you are actually the ideal weight....if you were 6ft 7"....lol. I am sure you are happy so do what works for you.

Still no update on Brennan? Are they waiting until weigh-ins to see if he alters his underwear?
Apparently the NCAA is reluctant to make a "snap" decision. And will wait for a hearing.

Idiots.

LR are also idiots for letting this play out. They're going to get hit with sanctions/penalties as a result of this.

Still amazed Dresser and some of the other coaches didn't have the balls to stop these situations at Big12s.
There were four athletes mentioned but the explanation of two guys sitting on bikes after skins without working out seems like a non-issue to me at this point.

Sucks for the PAC 12 runner up who won’t qualify, but would have if LR would have followed the rules.

Brennons spot goes to the first alternate and not the PAC 12 runner up.

What possible excuse/explanation could they have for this? Count how many years you've been in college and subtract 2021 if that is one of them. Hard to believe this was an honest mistake, and even if it were, he shouldn't be allowed to compete.

Really bad look for Erisman, which is unfortunate. Really respect what he's been doing otherwise at Little Rock.

Pac-12 revised the team scores and now Oregon State is the champ over Little Rock.

I would love to see what was presented. What could possibly be a compelling and well supported case in this scenario?
Administrative error. '19-'20 was their first season and it should have been deemed a provisional season, as their first year in Division 1 wrestling. As a result of the error, their wrestlers were mistakenly deemed eligible for postseason competition, costing him a year of eligibility.

That's the best I have.

Now that is at least a reasonable argument. However, you should know if it actually applies or not 5 years later…
