If she wins the title, yeah, Bluder's definitely taking that banner from Vivian. As good as Vivian was and as dominating as Iowa was in the B1G under her tutelage, a national championship trumps all of it without a national championship to compare it to.

With that said, we wouldn't be Iowa women's basketball as we know it without Stringer either.

Love Bluder and I’m so happy for her to have this moment! However, didn’t Stringer take 3 different teams to the final 4? Maybe it was more doable in the early 90s than it is now though. Either way, both outstanding Hawkeyes and how neat was it that Stringer left the first voicemail on Bluder’s phone after we made it to the FF?! Wish Stringer could be there to watch Sunday with some of the members from the last Iowa team to make it to the FF…

C Viv was one of a kind!
LB was brought here to see if Iowa could reach the status they enjoyed under Stringer. Stringer in like Nile Kinnick….there may be better to come along but she set the standard.
