Hum, admit I’m older and never heard of this cameo thing until now. Goggled it and some people pay for celebrities comments? Looks like a prank then but I deep down wish Bob was wielding his influence to motivate change!

Bob is a very close friend of Kirk's but I have no idea if Bob and Kirk have talked about the offensive struggles. Sticky situation for Bob to talk to Kirk about since Brian is Kirk's son.
In the cameos, MANY former athletes and celebrities do these short cameos. I see them all the time-- for like $125 I can have Pete Rose do something like this, etc. Easy money for these guys when they get approached by companies. Bob probably got a $75-$100 cut on this short one here that he got pranked on.

Someone sent a written request through Cameo for Bob (a Cameo client) to do this video recording for a "Brian" and Bob got paid to do it through Cameo.
Bob just didn't realize he was being pranked by an Iowa fan most likely, or maybe an ISU or Nebraska fan.

Good lord man, its not rocket surgery. You give them cliffs notes of what you want to them to say (congrats, happy bday, hang in there, etc). They dont have to say anything or accept all requests. My friends sent me a happy bday one from andre dawson which was pretty cool
