Great defensive game! Felt like the epic 6-4 PSU game.
I do hope that we get T. Smith and B. Myers back soon. Canzeri and Beathard took some big shots again this week.

Was just gonna post the same thing about the Penn State game. Feels like old times! Needed a win like this to get the "edge" back. Lovin' it!
The Penn State game is a good comparison, but that game reminded me more of the Big Ten opener at Michigan State in 1990 (Iowa win 12-7). Iowa was coming off of a disappointing season, but showing signs of making a turnaround during the non-conference schedule. The surprising win in a hard-hitting game on the road as touchdown underdogs set the tone for a terrific breakthrough season. Wouldn't mind seeing a similar story play out this year.

I remember both games well. I remember KF's dad had died the week prior to the 6-4 game. He was extremely emotional and had an all time favorably rating with Hawk fans. Feels like we are getting there again. Needed an ugly game like today to get push us over the hump. It doesn't happen over night. Keep rolling boys!
