I saw Davison help Wieskamp up near the end of the 2nd half. I was worried about the guy injuring one of our players the whole game, actually caught a hook and yank attempt by Davison on Garza in the middle of the 2nd half. So a moment of sportsmanship was surprising, but also nice to see.

I’m not defending him and some of the stuff is not disputable.. That being said off the court he is a terrific kid and gives back a ton to his church/community etc
All for show. It's his thing.
So his self-image is clearly as a class A kid. I wonder how he justifies his dirty play to himself?
Like I said I can’t explain what makes a kid throw an elbow to a crotch on a basketball floor but in real life the kid spends an ass load of time on stuff that very few college kids do let alone college athletes.
Davison is a hell of a player without his shady shit. If he was on Iowa he would be like CMac on roids. I'm guessing we would see less dirty play from him if he was on Iowa too. I'm going to blame Garb.
He's trying to reform his image so he can get back to sliding in the way of drivers all game.

No worries Sota, you are a stand up guy. This has been a fun season. Love the way we played down the stretch. Now we need to really make some noise.
He's well beyond a 2nd chance on the basketball court. Not speaking about what he is outside of basketball here. On the court he is dirty and your chances of injury is increased by him just being on the floor
He’s a basketball player with limited talent, at a position where talent separates. And those kind of guys tend to resort to cheap, dirty, chippy play.

Hearsay alert, but a guy I know who is a few years out of college in Madison, a huge badger fan and friends with team managers said that the managers and at least some of the team.

anyway to finish the story the managers and at least some of the team are hoping that Davison doesn't use his free year, as they are sick of his shtick.
FWIW, i assume we all know guys who are great people off the court, but their competitive nature causes them to cross some lines on the court.

Davidson is a win at all cost player which is so wrong but hopefully he will mature. By your comment it seems you could use some of that yourself.
