There's all these false rumors going around. Proctor did not get $100,000.

There are 2 arms of SWARM:

* The collective arm, where normal fans donate. These proceeds are used to pay student athletes when they volunteer. NOT ONE PENNY from this arm went to Proctor.

* The SWARM INC. arm is for the bigger deals for acquiring the Cade McNamaras and Erick Alls of the world. It was going to be the arm to pay Proctor. This arm is financed by Brad Heinrichs (he's written $100,00 personal checks), Bill Moon (I-80 Truck Stop), Summit Ag Group, Mid-States Millright & Builders, Dale Howard Auto Center, Elite Resort Casinos, etc.

As you can see, Proctor did not get paid much.

Answers to some questions:

1). We need 10,000 members for the Collective. We are about 30% of the way there.

2). KP didn’t get any of the money donated by our Collective members, because he didn’t do anything to deserve it. The kids get paid to attend events for charity or deliver meals on wheels, for example.

3). KP did receive about 15% of the allotted money from one of our corporate sponsors, but that is all.

So he didn’t rob the store and jet out of town. I’m no less upset about the situation, but we have contracts set up to protect the money you donate, and I will forever try to be a good steward of your hard-earned money.

As always, Go Hawks!!

Thank you Brad.

If anything is wrong in the orig post, let me know.

Thanks again

Its all very vague.
Even if it was only the corporate arm, it is still potentially nonrefundable money that went his way (with him doing basically nothing)....money that could have gone to recruit or retain other athletes.

Hope they learn from this and draft better contracts in the future if indeed mistakes were made.

hopefully whatever was paid can be clawed back because of the contract

I think he got a little mistreated the first time by fans, media, etc. This time, my goodnesss, is so different. I think he would find it hard to ever really go out in public in the state of Iowa again. People would be heckling and throwing one liners at him all the time. And this time around, deservedly so.

Well the big question is why he left Iowa. Was he not promised a starting position which would be so Kirk? Did someone else piss him off? Maybe he didnt like the vibe in the weight room and during workouts?

Anyone know the real reason he left? His mom?

He may be a very immature huge young man. His physique can mask other things.

He may just be mis directed by his family over his own wishes

Does it really matter? It was from a corporate sponsor he did some work for. They are the ones that would need to be cool with things.
Maybe not, but we should refrain from attacking the earlier number, because we really haven’t been given any information that it was wrong.

KP has shown himself to be an attention-seeking momma’s boy, a snowflake, as I called him in another thread. I questioned why Ferentz took him back unless they had a real heart-to-heart. Pretty clear KP doesn’t have a man’s heart.

Many mistakes were made. As far as KP is concerned, good-bye and good riddance.

I'd be willing to bet this has NOTHING to do with Iowa, anymore then the last time he left. He and his family are mercenaries. We've seen the CC effect these last two years, and all the good it does for so many people. What Proctor is, I'd call the Lebron James effect, go for the $$ and where you can fix rosters to win championships. This is the ruination of ALL we grew up loving about sports.....

Honesty, I don't think KF would have accepted his commitment unless he was FULLY convinced that Proctor was 100% committed to being a Hawkeye.

There's something very wrong with Proctor. You don't do this crap twice.

As I mentioned in another thread, since he didn't actually take any money I don't have any real reason to be pissed at him beyond hurt feelings so I'm not pissed at him. I don't like him though and he can kiss his own ass on the way out the door. I don't see how his behavior can lead to success and if he doesn't fix it he will be in for a rude awakening one day. But good luck to him, he's no longer welcome at Iowa.

This guy has 18,000 followers.

He was wrong last night, where he stirred things up.

And he continues to be wrong today (Proctor got some money from SWARM Inc)

Thank you for all you do Brad.

IMO, I would like to see you implement a more creative system for distributing NIL funds. Before NIL, after NIL, we all know that Iowa cannot compete with some of the larger, deep-pocketed schools. So to be successful, maybe think outside of the box.

What I am suggesting is making NIL funds more back-loaded, almost like a pension. There would be options on how the athlete would like to receive the funds, either by cashing out at the end of their career here or leaving it in a fund that would disperse later in life (with interest of course). The amount of funding would depend heavily on performance and loyalty factors, and in the case of football on playing in bowl games. The scale would be sliding to exponentially reward the players that stay 4 years vs. those that stay 3 or 2. The players would get a small monthly stipend for "spending money" though.

What I think this does is rewards the players that invest in the program, which are exactly the players that the Swarm members want to support anyway. We will never consistently get the athletes that just want a "bag", but honestly, I don't think we want those players anyway. We have seen this with other programs not work out way more than working out and on top of that, more often there is a ton of baggage that comes with it that makes it so not worth it.

Now in the very rare case that we have a Caitlin Clark type player, this system does not hinder the earning potential at all of that player. They are free to negotiate with the Gatorade's and State Farm's of the world, but its such a rare occurrence it is not worth worrying about (in the last 40 years how many players at Iowa could have taken advantage of something like that?)

Just an idea.
