I like how we talk like Lee is already a hawk. We should start start doing that with Suriano, Hall and Happel too.

I think Lee and Happel are hawks. Hall and suri not so much. IMO I'd take Lee and Mejia over suri, fix...whoever at 125/133. Mejia will be an animal for us. renteria may have a tough time beating those two. Let Happel and Turk battle out for 141. Pretty salty first 3.

If Suriano wants to redshirt I think we have the edge since PSU would need him to start right away. Think he also had Nebraska and Ohio State on his list.

It's been a very long time since the Hawks were anything but tough in the first two weight classes. Just a great tradition to start out duals with above average studs. It's the standard we have gotten used to as Hawk fans. Many schools just seem to have certain weights that are traditionally strong for them. Minny at the heavier weights is another example.

I guess that will always be a draw to certain kids. That would be my guess why many on this forum feel pretty good about our chances with Lee, imo.

I have a hard time believing Brady would go to a different school, especially the main rival, to his brother's school.

Why? I've never understood why people assume brothers will go to school together, it happens on the football board, too.

Not all brothers are close. And each brother should make the best decision for themselves.

I played football against my brother in college; wasn't a big deal and I think we both went where we wanted to go and where we each felt more comfortable.

Don't be so sure Carr has huge family ties at Iowa state I know many people disagree but I think KJ has done a good job with the guys he's been getting and I wouldn't be surprised to see the younger Carr follow in his father and brothers foot steps

I agree. Carr also competed in middle school in Kentucky, so I am not sure how deep his Ohio roots are.
