Brandon Snyder

No it's naught.

Is it to late to move mabin to safety and let either one of the other corners step up.. Watching Mabin play he keeps the wr in front of him and knows how to run down a tackle.. Sounds like a safety to me

I'm getting kind of tired of that to be honest.
Not sure how much KF has to do with the defense and/or DB depth/personel. That would be Phil's doing on this one....OL play-Kirk, offense shitting the bed-Kirk has hand in that, hiring coaches-Kirk, promoting Phil to D-coordinator-kirk....who plays at saftey- pry not Kirk

That said, perhaps you missed his INT Saturday? Although, we would've probably had better field position with a punt and return...

Hahaha, KF has 5 bad years and then one good. Lifetime contract with huge buyout?

He still got worked a couple times but he made a few plays today that were real impressive. One thing you can say is he isn't afraid to hit someone.

Snyder's a sophomore. He's going to make mistakes - that's fine. As long as he makes them going 100%, which he seems like the type of guy who will do that.

Snyder's not the guy people should be getting on.

Snyder played a lot better against Rutgers than he did against NDSU. Having seen our safeties four times now they are going to miss a tackle here and there and they are going to be a step late in coverage a couple times a game. They are also going to make some big hits and will create some turnovers. There will be more good plays than bad.

Do college teams scheme to block the play-side safety on run plays? I don't know but my guess is not.

So you played D1 football correct?

Not to be a Richard, but you don't have to have played D1 football to see when the kid struggles. The play mentioned earlier where he tried to tackle at shoulder-pad-height and got his tookus run flat over was telling....that and his 50/50 chance of keeping up with a receiver. He's learning and busting his ass so I'm not bashing, but just saying you don't have to be a genius to see where he needs work.

Seeing that Kirk chewed him out in the first half against Rutgers I would say the fans saying he is struggling are on the right track. He did have a better second half but there were still some miscues.

Yeah he wasn't perfect, but he was balls to the wall the whole game. That kind of effort from a few others and this game wouldn't have been close.

Snyder's game stat's:
* 13 tackles (led team)
* 1 TFL
* caused and then recovered game changing fumble

Pretty good day's work, kudos Brandon.
