Brands receives three year extension..wrestling facility study

Isn't a main complaint that there is nowhere to park? Putting it next to Carver doesn't help that.
No matter where facility is built meets will all still be held at Carver so parking doesnt change. There will be parking added for coaches staff plus athletes to some extent.

100% true. I've spoken to several athletes recruited by PSU and they said they made those comments about Iowa. Why do you think Tom said that, he's heard it as well...

Honestly, I just haven't been paying enough attention. Had assumed the robot jokes originated from mudslinging by forum posters (e.g., Carl can't coach, Brands makes guys hate the sport kind of thing). Seemed out of character for the PSU staff, at least in terms of what I've seen from them publicly.

Hard to know exactly who said what in interviews behind closed doors and recruits (wisely) refrain from specifics. Spencer said he heard negative stuff during his recruiting, so I have no doubt it happens. Also, PSU wrestlers go the extra mile to mention "fun" so often, it comes across as a scripted talking point.

And it is certainly true that the echo chamber of anti-Iowa mudslinging, known as themat forums (95% of it from a handful of active posters - all PSU fans) never lets up. Impressionable HS recruits who read that crap may be influenced.

If anyone is a robot, it's Carl. That guy couldn't be more disinterested during interviews.

Only time I have seen any emotion out of him on the mat as a coach is when he threw his temper tantrum (& chair) after Taylor's loss at the World Team Trials.

You know, wrestling wasn't just invented after 2011 . . .

Sorry man, but you really did leave the door open for that. ;)

As for location, I had heard that this project would likely be at the West Athletic Campus (near Soccer, Field Hockey, and another large indoor practice facility). This would make a ton of sense as the University and Hospital are both gobbling up every bit of real estate available in and around Kinnick and Carver. This would allow a larger footprint for the complex with more parking and would likely be more cost-effective. I have also heard in the past that the long range plan may include moving baseball out that direction.
