"[This camp] There were six freshmen that stuck out to me, and I had these guys stand up yesterday in our team meeting," Allen said.
Those six were: DBs Maurice Freeman, Jordan Grier and OLB Matt Hohlt on defense and QB Donaven McCulley, RB David Holloman and WR Malachi Holt-Bennett on offense.
If QB Michael Penix can't make it through another season, could Coach Allen go with the younger QB?
For Iowa, a couple of true freshmen wide receivers likely will see some reps in 2021.
