PSA - See the states below where Iowa will be on the main BTN channel vs an alternate on Saturday. Most of the nation will get UNC v. ILL for the main game.

7:30pm BTN Football: North Carolina at Illinois

7:30pm BTN Football: Iowa State at Iowa [AR,AZ,CO,IA,ID,KS,LA,MN,MT,ND,NE,NM,OK,SD,TX,UT,WY]

That is odd. Their commercial for Saturday night is 25 seconds of Iowa/ISU, with a quick "Btw, NC at Illinois for some of you" at the very end.

Or maybe I'm receiving an Iowa-centric commercial.

Kugler and Millen are the announce team for BTN for Iowa...think that's their #1
J Laymen and Collins doing the Illinois game

The information here and on the BTN website do not reflect what my TV is telling me for 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday. Can local AT&T UVerse providers change the line up?

I checked BTN Tuesday on my directv and it had IOWA - isu game. Now when I just checked they have the illini game. WTF!!!!!!!
DIrectv is still updating. Mine (in Virginia) shows UNC-Illinois for both the main, and alternate channels. That's not happening. Yesterday it showed UNC-ILL on the main channel and nothing on the alternate.

BTN Gamefinder for Directv now says UNC-ILL on 610, and Iowa on 610-1.

they plan was to make iowa iowa state the number 1 game in most places. that seemed to change after the iowa state lost in week 1

BTN Gamefinder for Prism in MN has Iowa on 1650 despite what my channel guide says.

Not shown in Michigan, glad I'm going to the game.

Big network has a love fest with Lovie

Not saying it's impossible, but we've had BTN for how many years now and outside of the first few I can't remember ever not having an Iowa game broadcast on either the main channel or an overflow channel.

Are there still carriers out there that don't have the overflow channels...?

They should put the Iowa game on in Illinois as well, no one gives a F about the Illini.

UNC @ Illinois is like 10x more interesting to anyone outside of Iowa or non-Iowa fans.

This.
I would make a large wager that UNC does not pull the national TV ratings that Iowa does. ISU and Illinois are probably close to a wash. After all, everyone knows Northwestern is "Chicago's team".

Im getting ILL/UNC instead of the corn bowl in MI...would rather watch Iowa and see how yall look this year. ILL isnt ready to play and beat a good team like UNC.

I am disapoint

Same thing in Nashville, although UNCheats-Illannoy is the game on BTN.

I still don't get why there continues to be concerns about whether the Iowa game is on the main BTN channel or an overflow channel any given week. Unless you're staying at a hotel or have an ancient cable system, there shouldn't be a problem. You will get the game if your satellite or digital cable provider brings you BTN.

I will give you the east coast but I live out west and travel often around the mountain west and can tell you I see by far more Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin fans then any other team east of the Mississippi. The Big West is actually followed very closely by people living in the mountain west and Iowa is one of the better represented teams out here next to Wisconsin and Nebraska.

I have TW and their over-flow channels are not in Hi-Def! Iowa is on the over-flow in WI.

I still have UNC - ILL on both channels. I live in Missouri, 13 miles from the Iowa line. My local channels are out of Kansas City, directv will not give me any Des Moines channels even though it's closer to me then KC.

I had that same problem with Dish a few days ago up here in Oregon. Now it shows on channel 5888 (ALT10) channel on that system with UNC/Ill game on BTN main channel.

I guess Chicago media just must not care for the previous year's B1G West champion playing it's biggest rivalry game this weekend, much like CSNCH Chicago channel (429 on Dish) looked like they were going to carry Mediacom's "Iowa Football with Kirk Ferentz" show this season, but the first show that got put on my PVR had the UNI weekly show on instead when it was supposed to air on 8/29 at 2:00 PST. Then the next week's show looked to have been preempted by another live game then. It's supposed to air at 1:30 PM PST this Monday, but we'll wait and see if that gets aired then. Anyone know where I can get these last two shows online?

My Direc TV, as of game day morning, shows Ill-UNC on main channel 610 and ISU-Iowa on 610-1...and I'm in northeast IOWA! I'll be at the game, but that's crazy if Iowa isn't on the main channel in IOWA.

I'll be at the game, but DVRing at home. So, knowing the correct channel ahead of time is crucial.

1st time in 16 years Iowa is not on in North Carolina. I was waiting all week for the game. I don't give a damn about NC/Ill. I am pissed at my cable company.
