BTN's Top 100 B1G players

100 players, 14 teams. That comes to 7 players per team. Some with more, some with less. Iowa is #4-7 in talent if you go based on where we are ranked. Here is my list of Iowa talent. You can debate my order, but it is a guess:
  1. CJ Betheard
  2. King
  3. Johnson
  4. Jewell
  5. Kittle
  6. Mabin
  7. Daniels, LeShun
  8. Welsh
  9. MVB
  10. Myers
  11. Croston
  12. Boettger
  13. Bazata
  14. Niemann
  15. Wadley
I would say numbers 9 through 15 could be interchangeable.
Kittle could go up or down on the list.
Daniels could go up to 5 if he stays healthy.
In conclusion, how many of they players make the Top 100?

I pretty much agree with you.. Might change some of the order but nothing drastically different. I doubt they are gonna have Iowa get 15 players in the top 100 list, especially since only one made the 81-100. That would mean 14 players in the top 80. I could see them leaving off some Olinemen. It is good to see people high on Wadley, I think he could be deadly this year (in a good way)

I agree with you on linemen being left off. But according to ESPN, we have the #1 offensive line in the country...so how can this be that the Big 10 would leave our linemen off.

Miles Taylor?

I think we will see CJ, King, Johnson, Daniels, Jewell and maybe Kittle... Those are the cover story guys left. It is just easier to pick players that get more news. I bet at least one olineman gets in because of Ferentz's track record with Oline

I'd guess Myers and Welsh make the list but 4 lineman didn't really have a shot when they were not All Conference last year.

Mabin might be left off since it seems he's underrated living in King's shadow.

Daniels will not be on there.

The top 20 on this list will be filled with osu and Michigan players.. My guess is jabrill peppers is no 1

King and Jewell where on the top 100 of all of college football with CJB just outside of the 100 in SI mag.

#60 through #41 up. Leshun #55, Cole Croston #47, Jaleel #41.

55. RB LeShun Daniels, Iowa. With Jordan Canzeri gone, Daniels should be the bell cow back in what will be another solid Iowa backfield.

47. OL Cole Croston, Iowa.
Croston started at both tackle spots last year for the Hawkeyes, but look for him to be Iowa’s starting left tackle when the Hawkeyes open the 2016 season.

41. DT Jaleel Johnson, Iowa. He broke out last season in his first year as a starter with 5.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. Look for Johnson to build on that production in what could be an All-Big Ten-type of season for a veteran Hawkeye front.

Daniels would have went for over 1300 yards easily last year without injury. Shows how much you know about skill positions.

Nothing in his time at Iowa has shown he could do that. He would have had to have about 300 carries to do that and probably more. Canzeri without injuries and could have easily. Wadley if given more playing time could have. Think about this Wadley had only 150 less yards than Daniels on 60 less carries. Canzeri had 300 more yards on only 38 more carries.
Daniels is also probably the worst short yardage big back I have seen at Iowa.

We will see. Daniels will be over 1400 yards this year. Wadley will get his carries, but keep hating on this Daniels kid and watch from your couch like you probably always has done and make your expert analysis. I'm pretty sure you played at a high level and have excellent insight.

Well hello Mrs. Daniels. We appreciate your sons efforts they put to Iowa football. Looking forward to watching them both play next year.

What makes you so confident about Daniels? Daniels apparently has never been healthy in his Hawkeye career, because he has never looked as good as Wadley has when Wadley gets greater than single digit carries in a game. Daniels had good games against Minnesota and Illinois St last season, but for the most part of his career he has been just an average back. Wadley is a game changer when given opportunity. Hopefully you know something I don't because it appears Wadley will play second fiddle to Daniels again this year.

Love Daniels. Hope he has a big year. He will not have 1,400 yds.

Pro Football Focus ranked Jourdan Lewis (#7), Desmond King (#9), Jabrill Peppers (#16), Dawaune Smoot (#20), Malik McDowell (#23), Maurice Hurst (#27), Pat Elflein (#29), Chris Wormley (#31), Saquon Barkley (#32), Raekwon McMillan (#34), and Vince Biegel (#43) amongst the top 50 players in the country entering this season so I'm assuming they all rank very high on the BTN list.
