BTN's Top 100 B1G players

Sure, why not? It wouldn't be the first time players have been snubbed from pre-season lists that have no meaning.

My shitty guess is as good as the next.
No its not as good as the next. They're not leaving out 1 of the 4 best linebackers in the league when they have already included Wadley and daniels

Jewell was #3 on their top 10 LB list. I'll be surprised if he isn't in the top 20.

Although I don't know if I would rank Desmond King #1 overall in the Big Ten, I don't think I'd give it to JT Barrett. He had a great year a couple years ago, and was pretty solid last year, but he did benefit from having a ridiculously athletic receiving corps including Braxton Miller, and an All American at running back. I don't think he's as productive this year.

LMFAO, he set the all time record for total yards at OSU with 3,772 and the all time B1G record for touchdowns with 45 his FRESHMAN season, and he didn't have Braxton Miller at all that year, he didn't even know he would be the starter at all until 2 weeks before that season started when Miller hurt his shoulder. He had a group of receivers who were mostly starting for the first time that year as well, on a team that was starting 15 freshman & sophomores, so how are you so sure he won't be as productive this year? The buckeyes overall talent level has only improved, that year they only had 2 full years of Meyer recruits with half being true freshman, this year the entire roster is his players. He's a no-brainer at #1 considering he put together the most prolific scoring season by a QB in B1G history.

Last time I checked Barrett is by far the best returning conference QB, which is by far football's most important position, he's a no-brainer at #1 considering he put together the most prolific scoring season by a QB in B1G history.

I am truly sorry that your a** is fat. What did he do as a sophomore? Ah yes, that was the year that he couldn't beat out Cardale Jones until late in the season, and put up less than half as many yards and touchdowns as he did during his freshman season. Every other player listed in the BTN top 20 had a better season than Barrett did last year.

Maybe he has a great year. Maybe he struggles without Ezekiel Elliott and 3/5ths of his offensive line. But when your resume reads "was a platoon player last season", you are not a no-brainer to be the top player in the conference.

#60 through #41 up. Leshun #55, Cole Croston #47, Jaleel #41.

55. RB LeShun Daniels, Iowa. With Jordan Canzeri gone, Daniels should be the bell cow back in what will be another solid Iowa backfield.

"I've got a fever.....and the only prescription is more bell cow."

.

What a hilariously stupid and inaccurate statement. There are a number of Michigan defensive players in the top 20, Barrett absolutely SHREDDED their defense, yet they had better years? Clearly you're a buffoon who has no clue at all what you're talking about. If an Iowa QB had set the all time conference TD record as a freshman you know you'd be drooling all over him for top pick, of course considering your hilariously stupid statement that everyone in the top 20 had a better year than Barrett, drooling is apparently your standard MO and nothing out of the ordinary.

If Iowa QB would of played for the Buckeyes last year you would of had a NC

Since the comment was talking about the season long production for players and you reference one game when Michigan had 3 DL out with season ending injuries, seems like your point is invalid.

For example, are you saying Barrett had a better season last year than Jourdan Lewis who PFF ranked as the best CB in the nation leading the country in passes defended?

And please note, I think very highly of Barrett and think he'll have a huge season. But when you start talking about how awesome he was last season you are just being insane.

Leave it to a Harbaugh apologist to think a head to head meeting where one player absolutely destroyed the others he is being compared to is irrelevant. I bet you have a great argument for why Craig Ehlo is better than Michael Jordan too! You sound even more delusional than Buckeye fans in the '90s.

Apparently my prediction (opinion, based off of last year) has some people really upset. Glad I was at least able to get you to "LYFAO."

I find it kinda funny that you use Zeke Elliott running for 214 yards against Michigan's depleted DL as evidence of JT Barrett's dominance.

And please keep in mind, I think as highly of Barrett as anybody. I'm just pointing out your stupid lack of logic. You probably think Phil Simms was the best QB in NFL history because of his Super Bowl performances. I mean if small sample sizes are what we are going off of...

If Phil Simm's had put up the most prolific scoring season in the entire history of the NFC his rookie season and still had as much of his career left as Barrett does he'd definitely be in the conversation. Another ridiculous red herring by you. Why am I not surprised you are too stupid to realize the reason OSU destroyed Peppers and the rest of your hilariously overrated defenders was because of Barrett running the read option to perfection. They would have still dominated if you replaced Elliott with another RB like Curtis Samuel, while nobody else on OSU's roster can run the read option anything like Barrett (Braxton couldn't make the correct reads consistently like Barrett). You seriously make a fool of yourself in every thread, most of the basketball board still hasn't stopped laughing from your analysis of pre-season All American PG Monte Morris as a system player, you're clearly the definition of a Wal-Mart wolverine, just absolutely a complete buffoon.

Hey look, Jabril Peppers, the most overrated player in the B1G doing nothing in a big game as usual while JT Barrett absolutely destroys your excuse for a defense with the read option OVER AND OVER AND OVER (of course this has NO BEARING on if he's better than UM's defenders, LMFAO!)

I wonder why Michigan fans like you were going on and on all season about how great their D was BEFORE this game, only to make injury excuses after? BAU.

please continue to prove the stereotype of OSU fans intelligence some more. This is starting to get entertaining.

And to reiterate, I think Barrett is the best QB in the Big Ten by a large margin. But your logic train is off the tracks.

I think that you can demonstrate the fallacy of picking the player of the year based upon a single game by looking at last year's OSU/MSU game, where JT Barrett put up less than 100 yards of total offense, rushing and passing for 2.9 yards per attempt.

Why is there an argument between Ohio St poster and Michigan poster on an iowa board? You 2 must really have no lives. Like none.

@blockm2 @ChiDoc
Kind of makes you wonder if some people just have nothing better to do than have 14 different browsers open for each B10 team to keep an eye out for any time their team or one of their team's players gets mentioned.

well since you joined this forum this week, I'll cut you a little slack as I've posted here periodically for almost 2 decades. I actually like reading about topics related to the Hawkeyes in football and basketball and I've never once started a topic here about something other than Iowa sports. In this particular thread I merely responded to a moron that was quoting my posts.

I don't mean to offend the nice Hawkeyes posters here so I will stop further engaging with said moron in this thread.

4:52 a.m. no life. Just as I thought

So somebody that is at work before you get up doesn't have a life? Seriously? As a physician I gotta be up at the crack of dawn on a daily basis.
Physician, who is a Michigan fan, still posting on an Iowa board while at work. Also, I get up at 4 everyday but Sunday, so it's not likely you're at work before I get up. My point was, and still is, that you're a Michigan fan and one of the first things you choose to do when you wake up at the crack of dawn is check the Iowa football board. My previous 2 posts stand.

sorry, only the 6th board I was on this morning, but please carry on. I've added you to the ignore list so I won't bother the kind Iowa fans here with responses to you any longer. But 20 years from now, I'll still be here enjoying the opposing players who look like various people threads (forgive me if I forget the name of those).

edit: BOAF threads are the ones that still crack me up

I can have large swaths of downtime at work where I am required to be in the building to respond to emergencies but with nothing to actually do other than respond to a few pages here and there via phone. High speed internet access + nothing to do + rabid sports fan means I can have lots of web surfing time.

Besides, don't overestimate "all this forum activity". Reading a few threads on a forum generally takes 2-4 minutes. Typing out one reply takes seconds. I generally spend only 30-60 minutes a day surfing the web.

Because their boards require people to become paying members to post on forums. In other words, they are cowards. The Hawkeyes boards are open and anyone can post with a free account, proving that the moderators here believe they can competently run things -- and most of our fans aren't tools like the majority of UM and OSU fans.
