EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE!!!! Totally unconstitutional to turn over any documents pertaining to any payment to the Trump Organization, or business transaction with potential conflicts of interest.
Yeah...They would claim exec privilege for Kushner but I don’t think the Trump kids could hide behind that.If this Hunter Biden “investigation” AKA “political show trial” goes down, House Dems should immediately help open this Pandora’s Box for Republicans. Look into Kushner and the loser sons.
Because when the majority of people start admitting that both sides are wrong - and crooked - the whole damned house of cards comes tumbling down.Sounds pretty shady, but why make it about Hunter v Jared? Is your argument that two wrongs make a right?
Not if, do it now. Ds always wait to be punched then respond. That doesn’t work. Only the first guy gets away with it. The guy who responds to the dirty hit gets flagged and penalized. If this Hunter Biden “investigation” AKA “political show trial” goes down, House Dems should immediately help open this Pandora’s Box for Republicans. Look into Kushner and the loser sons.
Now do the republicans.Nepotism in politics is an American
art form.
JFK appointed his brother as Attorney
General in his administration's cabinet.
Robert Kennedy had no qualifications.
Jimmy Carter allowed his brother Billy
to make beer commercials and tout the
family name.
Are you being purposefully ignorant with this post? You can make the argument that RFK was not the most qualified, or that there were equally qualified people who could have been AG, but you cannot say that RFK had no qualifications. He had been a DoJ lawyer, and a top Senate aide who lined up witnesses to testify before Congress. All things considered he was a good AG. RFK was a far better candidate than a slew of cabinet posts that Trump has nominated people for. Considering the number of posts Trump has never even bothered to permanently fill RFK looks even better. Betsy DeVos has literally never held a paying job in her life, and does not hold any professional qualifications in education, but, there she is. Numerous top environmental posts are held by fossil fuel lobbyists, and HUD is led by a guy who thinks the pyramids of Egypt were designed to hold grain. Trump now also has a college senior holding down a job in a critical WH office that overseas all hiring in the executive branch. At least that is one thing he didn't put Jared Kushner in charge of.Nepotism in politics is an American
art form.

I am not saying either is "right," but this is really a false equivalence. I fully understand that Burisma probably hired Hunter Biden, a private citizen, for its board in hopes that he could use his political connections to lobby for favorable changes in U.S. policy. Companies enlist board members and hire lobbyists for that purpose every single day. I have yet to see any evidence of a U.S. policy changing because of this.Sounds pretty shady, but why make it about Hunter v Jared? Is your argument that two wrongs make a right?
False equivalencies abound when providing cover for Trump. It's truly baffling that you would go here after all that your guy Trump has done to enrich himself, and his family members.
Nepotism in politics is an American

...
Jimmy Carter allowed his brother Billy

And neither is Burisma giving Hunter Biden a board position.Billy Carter making beer commercials is not an example of nepotism.

Your comments about Billy Carter are just flat out dumb. Jimmy was supposed to block a grown man from doing something? Jimmy bent over backwards to divest himself, and to make sure he had no financial conflicts of interest. He did not create Billy Beer for his brother, and did everything he could to separate himself from Billy. It's truly baffling that you would go here after all that your guy Trump has done to enrich himself, and his family members.
Yes, this issue could take out quite a few. This is a nuclear topic. They all use their political office for personal gain. Look at all the millionaires in Congress on both sides of the aisle.

Given his history and background it 100% was. Arguing anything else is pure denial. He got that position, and pretty much every other sweetheart deal he ever has, solely bc of his name and who his father is.And neither is Burisma giving Hunter Biden a board position.
That’s not the definition of nepotism.Given his history and background it 100% was. Arguing anything else is pure denial. He got that position, and pretty much every other sweetheart deal he ever has, solely bc of his name and who his father is.
LucASS 80........I did not vote for
Hillary or Donald in 2016. So your
blatant hatred for all things Trump
is your problem.
For someone who didn't vote for Trump, you sure go to extraordinary lengths (often hilarious) to defend him or deflect for him.
When Hunter Biden was being discussed on here did you deflect to examples of Republican nepotism or did you participate in the circle jerk?
The point is stop trying to present yourself as objective and unbiased. You aren't.
Wrong. Trump giving senior administration jobs to his otherwise unqualified daughter and son-in-law is nepotism. A private company hiring a politician's son in hopes that this will help them in lobbying the U.S. government is not nepotism. I'm not saying it's a great thing, but it's not nepotism.Given his history and background it 100% was. Arguing anything else is pure denial. He got that position, and pretty much every other sweetheart deal he ever has, solely bc of his name and who his father is.
Damn, you didn’t even bring up how much he done pwned Lucas by calling him LucAss!! That was pretty creative!

And pretty Christ-like.
And nah, it wasn't creative. We were saying stuff like that in junior high.
(Am I missing your sarcasm?)
I don't know. What is the evidence that Joe Biden personally intervened to get Hunger the gig? (Again, a private company simply hiring a relative because of the perceived potential for influencing a politician is not "nepotism.")Are you saying Joe Biden had no contact with this private company?
Robert Kennedy had no qualifications to be named AG?Nepotism in politics is an American

I don’t agree. I nearly never agree with Mat but he often bases his points on something solid like what something actually means. From my perspective he just has massive blind spots where he can rationally only ever see a small slice of the world.Mattski has never concerned himself with accuracy. Only rancor.
He like Lute tries to be objective.

He can be quite accurate in very narrow circumstances. He’s not a complete moron.Yes, he is rarely accurate.
And he is "get off my lawn" level rancorous.
What are you not in agreement with?
So you've moved from saying it "100% was" nepotism to admitting it is merely "conceivable" but you have no evidence of it. Glad we cleared that up.Yes, that is true.
But it's also conceivable Joe pulled strings for his son (and likely). I'm sorry, but if you're trying to convince me Dems are more ethical than Repubs, good luck. If you're pointing out Trump is the most corrupt president we've ever had, thanks for the help.

You’re right that it wasn’t nepotism. It was worse than nepotism.Wrong. Trump giving senior administration jobs to his otherwise unqualified daughter and son-in-law is nepotism.
