In for 20 hats...

But really, the about portion is hilarious. The three Ball brothers have championship pedigree... from what? The way LaVar is going this brand will be dead in the water in no time.

Lonzo made them another billion tonight with his outstanding performance. Only time I noticed him was when the limp just kept getting worse at the end...except for when he had that open dunk...

I'm betting that he is funding this by being allowed to borrow against his kid's probable pro contracts. I do have to ask if he might be even jeopardizing his son's NCAA eligibility.
Last, who the hell would pay $50.00 for a T shirt or $70.00 for a hat? Is he trying to serve the hip hop drug dealer low rider population?

yeah, the prices are outrageous; if the stuff does sell, however, imagine the margins; i bet young kids like the logo and the look so who knows. i hope everything is not being made in China LOL

and it does make you wonder if he is getting close to violating NCAA rules

I recall that LaVar had to have something removed from the website because the compliance dept at USC reported it. It was in the news not that long ago but I can't find it at the moment.

In a few years no one will hear of them again. Older kid has a 5th grade jumper....middle son has no college talent...youngest has a 3rd grade jumper. No thanks

Mr. Fox and his 30 plus points ended the dream of
UCLA this season. The Ball kid looked lost on the
basketball court against Kentucky. He should not be
a one and done player, but somebody in the NBA will
pay him more than he deserves.

He'll be a top 10 pick.

Lonzo shot a better percentage from 3 than Jok this year on about 30 less attempts.

Shot looks funky but it goes in.

My guess is the UCLA alumni buy the hats. It is a "legal" way around the NCAA restrictions for paying for players.
Seriously that is genius, you want your kid to get paid by the school for his services. You get around it by setting up a brand and website with the kids brand on it and have Rich Alumni buy his gear at outrageous prices to meet the required money your asking for. Genius!

That's true but will it go in at the NBA level? He's certainly not going to be able to create for himself 15 ft and out. His jumper doesn't have the quickest release and it's low. He couldn't get a clean look in that Kentucky game. Can he hit that jumper when the defender slides under the pick and roll? I don't know. I suppose he'll drain some threes when they swing the ball around the perimeter.

Where did you get that stat? I don't even see Ball on this list. Bryce Alford and Jbo shot higher percent then Jok.. http://www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-men/d1/current/individual/143/p1

The link you provided only lists players that made 2.5 three-point field goals per game. Lonzo Ball only made 2.2 three-point field goals per game.

On the season, Ball shot 41.2% from three, which is just behind Bohannon and about 3 percentage points higher than Jok. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/stats/_/id/26

I really wish Lavar was an arrogant jackass, because I do like watching Lonzo play and I think with his size, he will be a viable PG for some bottom feeder and probably put up 15-18 points/night. I mean he did almost average a triple double at UCLA and his shot looks like Stephs in college. Low, slow and off to the left and I think Steph is doing pretty well in the shooting department.

You're reading way to much in to one game going against a guy in Fox who is a better athlete than 99% of the nba. He did allot better against him the first game they played.

You dont shoot %40 from three on 200 attempts and lead the country in assists if cant "create".

Its the exact oposite.

Wait. What do less attempts have to do with a better percentage? :) You do know your percentage doesn't go up with just attempts, right? You actually have to make shots.

(I'm just sort of teasing RocknRollface.)

But a real point would be to ask how many times Jok was shooting with a hand in his face, because for a part of the season while the other guys were learning, he had too.

I get what you are trying to point out...Ball is one heck of a player.

Wait for it.....NBA is a whole different planet. Papa has set the table for this kid to be a target. My prediction is he will struggle. Might be wrong because the rest of his game is good, but he got crowded in his last game and was not a factor at all. Either one of their 3pt % is nothing to write home about.

He'll have to pay ME to take that junk off his hands. Should do good in some under privileged foreign country.

I'm not saying he's a bad player or he can't create period. I'm saying he's going to have difficulty creating shots for himself, one-on-one, where he needs to pull up from 10-15 ft and out. Watch his highlight videos from this year. You don't see may situations where he takes his guy one-on-one and pulls up for a jumper because he doesn't have a jumper. Most of his threes are kick-outs where he's already set. He does a fantastic job getting into the lane and finishing or dishing the ball. However, he's going to need a jumper to be really good in the NBA. But who knows, Jason Kidd did fine with a whack shot.

How much did Jason Kidd struggle with no 3pt shot for the majority of his career?

Theres a reason everyone compares him to Kidd.

I would say the chances of him not being a successful nba player are incredibly low.

40% 3pt shooter is more than adequate when thats the 3rd or 4th best aspect of your game.

My point was that "only" 30 attempts less than Jok is allot of attemptes.

I was putting his number of attempts in perspective compared to someone whos primary game was shooting.

Meaning it wasnt a fluke based on a small amount of shots, kind of like Uhls last year.

Not arguing hes a better shooter than Jok.

I would look for Lonzo Ball to be drafted by the Lakers. Magic is looking for a pass oriented PG to run a Showtime (Remix).

The dad was on talk sports radio this morning.

The guy is just cocky/confident but what is worse is he is using his sons to get his "brand" out there. He talked about how he is "never nervous" he knows what to do in every situation. He talked about how his boys should/would of jumped to the NBA right out of high school. Stating they are all good enough to play in the league.

The guy is supporting his kids I get that, but shut up already. Decline a few interviews and just go about your business. He told Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas that they don't want their "brand" they want to (co-brand) with them. I don't think that will work out for them.

Now Levar Ball shows us all he is a racist. But honestly who is really surprised by this?

https://sports.yahoo.com/news/lavar...ree-white-guys-foot-speed-slow-023359860.html

Funny thing "those 3 white guys" had 17pt 9 reb, 9 pt 9 reb and 13 pts in loss to Kentucky.
The guy is definitely a racist tool. I guess he missed the 1st go around with UK where those same 3 white guys played and they smoked the Wildcats. Lonzo dumping the ball once he crossed half court and then hiding in the corners had nothing to do with the loss, right? Lonzo showed a few flashes, but most of the game he played uninspired while DeAndre Fox was going off for 39.
