Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever playing a preseason game at CHA

Caitlin Clark will be hooping again on the Carver-Hawkeye Arena floor -- this time for the Indiana Fever in a preseason game (May 4) against the Brazilian National Team.

Now that's brilliant. The Fever might want to play one or two regular-season games at Carver . . . against Chicago, for instance.

But this is fantastic.

play the game at Kinnick, have 55,000 there and do the wave at the end of the 1st quarter.

That idea just dawned on me too. I think they could draw 50,000+, and maybe they could have the same setup as the DePaul game but this time, maybe they could put temporary bleachers on the south side of the court so thousands more fans would be closer to the action than they are in Carver. And maybe then I could afford a ticket. I was there for the DePaul game. I'd love to be there again. And they could have Carver as the backup site in case of inclement weather, just as they did before.

I imagine lots of Fever fans would make the trip for a game at Kinnick too. It could be beyond amazing. And we know it works, so let's do it.

imagine what the tailgating scene would look like, too.

the whole thing would be incredible

That means it does NOT RAIN about half the days in May in Iowa. A 50-50 opportunity works, especially with the easy move to Carver if necessary, just like the plan for the exhibition vs. DePaul last October. No good reason I can think of not to give this a shot.

and they had a back up plan, like you mentioned.

i agree; roll the dice, see what happens.

I LOVE the idea of kinnick, but what do you tell the 40K+ thousand people with tickets as you move indoors to Carver?
