I thought that was AJ Edinger? She supposedly was injured after the Crossover at Kinnick....I thought she was the one on the bench in a boot last night.....
Yeah, Kyle from the on3 site later posted a correction about this. Ediger has been in a boot for a couple of games. It certainly is possible that O'Grady was not 100% either. But I think vs Kitley Goodman was less likely to be pushed around so the Iowa coaches stuck with her.

Honestly, I don't think Kitley is extremely physical, and I thought Addie is supposed to be the better defender and rebounder. I know Lisa decided to go with the smaller lineup with Stuelke at the 5, so that certainly limited the post minutes. Hopefully AG keeps her head in the right place, as we'll need her. I know her and Goodman are room mates, so I'll bet thats an interesting dynamic as well.....

Might as well rename Carver now and get it done. No reason to wait.
Season 5 No GIF by The Office

And it is not only her bball skills shooting, dribbling, passing but also her mental aspects of seeing the motion of all the players and seeing creases to make amazing passes to assist her teammates, weaving around with the ball to bend the defense can create driving lanes, and the push ahead mentality and touch to drop in those passes is a 3D aspect of the court.
And not only is she almost always the best player on the court, when she's mic’d up before or after a game, she can talk about the game better than probably 90% of the commentators as well. No shortage of career options when she's done playing.

She’s the best athlete ever at Iowa men or women.
The closest to her was in my opinion Connie Hawkins in his very brief time at Iowa. I Was lucky enough to be a student at Iowa when he was there.
Yep. I’m ready to crown her….greatest Hawkeye of all time. And I’m not even sure it will be particularly close when she is finished.

But Connie never actually played at Iowa did he? He wasn't allowed due to being a frosh.

Her endorsements will follow her to the WNBA.
Maybe, maybe not. She might get more exposure at the college level than she will in the WNBA. Can’t think of the last commercial I’ve seen featuring a WNBA player. Not saying there are none, I just don’t recall any.

UCONN could be a .500 team and they would still get 1st place votes.

They've racked up their win record over the decades in a wimp conference. They have to go out of conference to keep SOS adequate for seedings and to draw recruits.

Megan says the game of basketball is about the college game. I totally agree. Personally have never watched a WBA game and only a few highlights of Iowa players on utube.

I think the women’s game has improved a lot over the last decade. It’s becoming a different game from the men - no play above the rim, obviously, but the offensive sets are fun to watch (though admittedly I don’t see a lot other than Iowa).

Ideally, it would get to something like women’s tennis. In some ways, women’s tennis is more watchable than men’s because you tend to get longer rallies and more time with balls in play. You don’t get as many untouchable serves and power shots, but the back-and-forth can be a lot of fun to watch.

Sunday 11/12/23. Some notable games played. How much impact does the Iowa women's team have on filling arenas vs other ranked teams? Iowa at UN!: 6,790/6,790 or 100% attendance.

What's remarkable in some of these below games is star players did not seem to have star drawing power. There were 3 All Americans on the court at Stanford.

Indiana at Stanford: 3,678/7,223 or 51%

Maryland at So Carolina: 1,6007/18000 or 89%

Miss Val St at LSU: 10,720/13215 or 81%

NJIT at ND: 1,631/3.500 or 47%

IUIPU at Ohio St: 4,893/19049 or 26%

Depaul at Louisville: 7,456/22,090 or 34%

Liberty at Texas: 5,189/10763 or 48%

Bellarmine at UCLA: 1,624/13,800 or 12%
