Never seen anything like it. She could actually be averaging like 12 assists a game if they could catch and make layups at a normal rate.

Her pass to Lexie Hull last weekend in the Minnesota game was just ridiculous. And Hull did a nice job of catching the pass and converting the reverese layup.

It shouldn't be a surprise that a rookie who is the focal point of opponents' defense and draws more double teams than any other player in the league has turned the ball over a lot. What's impressive is how productive she has been.

If she's not that good and over-hyped, then why is she drawing more double teams than any other player? Why aren't the superior defenders in the league just going and locking her down one-on-one?

It's not half. Would be interesting to see someone anaylze it to come up with the actual number though.

It may not be half, and it is a lot of turnovers. However, how many rookies in history have run the point as often as her, pass as aggressively as her. She has a lot of turnovers, but she has A LOT more assists. She has 36 more assists than the next person in her rookie season. If her teammates even cashed in on half of their drops, it'd be even more.

Bottom line, she's not getting those assists and her teammates aren't getting their points without giving up turnovers.

By comparison the rest of the team in that game had 16 turnovers and 5 assists. CC had 5 TOs to her 13 assists. Mitchell was 0-8 and CC hit her for wide open 3s about 4 times...

Mitchell needs to be more willing to pass.
