She is so much fun to watch and she LOVES to play and compete. She is the best I've seen in a Hawkeye uniform, men or women.
She is really fun to watch. That girl has range and can pull up, step back a pop a true jumper .

She has a complete game. Unbelievable scorer but also a great passer. Once in a generation talent at Iowa.
I’d take her over JBo 9 days a week & quadruple on Sundays!
She might be taller than JBo too.
I'll take Jbo one on one in a make it take it game or alternating possession game, and they can play with the smaller women's ball. As slow as Jbo is he is still faster than her, and even he would probably block one out of every 2 of her shots. He would also destroy her near the basket as bad as he is in the paint.
She is a great women's player but couldn't compete on a major men's team.

Caitlin is a fabulous talent and I thoroughly enjoy watching her compete. She would be fortunate to get much more than a desperation shot off against JBo. She makes a couple of those. JBo wins 10-2. Keep your money in your pocket.

While that is true, it also speaks volumes about the general lack of knowledge on this board just how good a D-1 men’s basketball player is.

Only having 7 players available and missing their 2nd best player made that game virtually unwinnable. It was basically 1 on 5 at the end. I have never seen a team double team a player when they didn't have the ball before.
I thought Ronnie Lester's best game was the loss against Magic Johnson and Michigan State at home in 1979. Caitlin Clark brought the team back into the game single-handed. A remarkable performance. It could not overcome the advantages Michigan had yesterday.
Maybe “you” should make more shots to help her out.

She is unbelievable. I will admit I don't watch much women's basketball but more box score and highlight follow. I started seeing tweets about her yesterday and flipped on for the 4th quarter and glad I did.
Are you talking this year's JBo or last year's?
Put a decent HS boys player on her and she doesn't score.
That said, she should be the NCAA WBB player of the year, hands down.

If she keeps working on her passing and starts making crazy circus passes, then yes, she is Pistol Pete reborn.
Have you watched her play? She averages over 8 assists per game. Also, a decent amount of turnovers many of which aren’t her fault because her teammates can’t handle the pass when they should.
She can make the passes - the problem is she sees the game completely different from the others. In part this is why she turns the ball over at the rate she does. You won't see that complete aspect of her game until she is playing with all professional players. You just see glimpses of it now like the one handed bounce pass through traffic on the fast break. Not a shot at her current teammates, it's just a fact of her skill level being so ridiculous.
She's being double teamed as soon as she crosses half court and still scores 46. 🙄
Do you not realize Clark plays against male BB players every day in practice? In her last interview with Conner and Pat she did mention was as D-1 walkon for 2 years and another was D-11. I realize that JBo is on scholly but I think the whole male vs female arguement is completely overblown. She's a great player and regardless of the outcome I'm sure she'd hold her own in 1-1 play.
If we were talking mens vs women's teams of course the women lose. But one on one it would be fairly even. No one gets separation like Clark and JBO is not the worlds greatest defender. She's not going to beat JBO to the rim but she can get separation to make her shots. She's already shooting over players taller than JBO every day. It would be a lot closer than many might imagine.
It would be great if the school could get JBo/Clark to play 1:1 in a game of 21 for some sort of Charity even.
She's amazing. Only thing Doodle could criticize her for in this game is the ultra-long 3 in the final minute or so down 5. A 2 there (by anyone) would have really put the pressure on Meatchicken to make their freethrows (and they missed a few down the stretch there). Instead, they scored and pushed it back to 7 and it was kind of game-over at that point. But the fact that Iowa was even IN the game was due to all of the other ridiculous threes she made, so it's kinda hard to fault her for thinking she'd drain another one from that distance.

Yes - I realize she practices against Walk On level players. If you think for one second she could handle the physical nature of the men's game you are simply looking at it through biased glasses. JBo is being critiqued for his play against men - D1 level. For everyone who wants to hate his game, he is bigger, stronger, and faster than Caitlin. Oh by the way, does he get to shoot with the smaller basketball? She is a phenomenal talent - leave it at that.
