Whatever it takes.so how many ex-bulldogs in the starting five? 4?
What was his stat line this past season ?
so how many ex-bulldogs end up in the starting five? 2,3, 4?
I'm going to guess 3:
PG - Stirtz
SG - TBD
SF - Howard
PF - Manyawu
C - TBD
Yes, exactly. Of course, these kids deserve to show they can play at this level throughout a long, grueling season. And it’s too early to judge whether the coach can recruit competitively in the B1G. Let’s all hope he can.Iowa Bulldogs![]()
I think if it’s more than 2 were in trouble. I think Koch will start if healthy. Obviously Stirtz. I’m good with the Drake guys providing depth, but we need to pull in another starting center from elsewhere. If it's anymore than 3 then we're in trouble...
This is the way I see it too with the possible exception that Koch may work his way into the starting rotation by the time the B1G rolls around.
Banks normally played more minutes than Manyawu, and pretty much always in crunch time. Cam really struggled on the offensive end as the season wore on and Banks was great in the pick and roll with Stirtz. As others have said it will be interesting as both are a bit undersized playing the 5. Fine in the Valley as both were very physical. Will be interesting night in and night out in the B1G but what we do know is they will certainly compete defensively, which we haven't seen in a long time.Manyawu is a great addition.
Can board and play D on 4 and smaller 5s.
As always I'm less enamored as to starters than who gets minutes, how many minutes they get and are they in crunch time. This guy can play important minutes and get the job done on D and the boards. Something sorely absent from Iowa teams for a long time.
Who cares, as long as they get WINS, that's all that matters.so how many ex-bulldogs end up in the starting five? 2,3, 4?
Classic 80s! Great flick!
Ron: "Holy cow! What'd you use a 38?"Classic 80s! Great flick!
After the season they and the wins against K State, Miami Fl., Vanderbilt and Missouri I have no problem with all of them starting and add in Koch.I think if it’s more than 2 were in trouble. Hi Jack. You’re doing it wrong.Ron: "Holy cow! What'd you use a 38?"
Carolyn: "38-39 whatever it took."
LOL
For some of you guys to say that Koch should play ahead of guys that just went 31-4 and were basically undefeated against Power 5 schools until the round of 32 is ridiculous. He might be a good player down the road but at this point he’s proven nothing. I’m hoping he stays healthy and contributes but he’s going to take awhile to learn the system. After the season they and the wins against K State, Miami Fl., Vanderbilt and Missouri I have no problem with all of them starting and add in Koch.
He didn't learn the system last year. What have we got now 4 transfers from Drake last I knew we need 5. He'll start. For some of you guys to say that Koch should play ahead of guys that just went 31-4 and were basically undefeated against Power 5 schools until the round of 32 is ridiculous. Let’s hope he can get on the court. He didn't learn the system last year. What have we got now 4 transfers from Drake last I knew we need 5. He'll start.
I see Cameron averaged 7.5 points in 19 minutes per game. That is good. He shot 49% from the free throw line. That will need to improve.
Alright …let’s get into it 😆Hi Jack. You’re doing it wrong.
