If we get BM

I don’t feel the need to defend anyone. That’s my independent thought that aligns with his to an extent.
I get that.......but you also said "he's not wrong." Just pointing that out.

Because he is wrong. ;)

I’m not even saying McCollum would never come here, it’s just a tough sell, objectively. If he does come here, all the credit in the world to BG. It would be an amazing hire!

FWIW, I’m sure I’ve doing a little self psychosis here as well to not be too disappointed if we don’t land McCollum.
And I'm telling you not to worry about who our next coach will be, because it'll pay off anyway. ;)

That's what Rico doesn't know, and doesn't want to accept.

How many of the SWARM members donate because of Women's BB or Wrestling?
Are you asking me for the financials of every season ticket holder for Womns bball and wrestling? Cuz I sure as fvck can’t answer that.

Is it your contention the fan base isn’t incredibly supportive when there’s a product they enjoy and believe in?

Using SWARM as the measuring stick our fan base is incredibly non-supportive, we sellout Carver for Women's BB and Wrestling each meet or game with 15,000 fans yet we have only 2900 SWARM members which would include supporters of all the other sports. It's BS to say put a winner on the court and people will donate, absolute BS.

Your line of thinking is just kicking the can down the road.

If we sell out men's BB games, it's an additional $3 million per year just in ticket sales.

Problem is you have no clue who donates independently

I don't but I do know mathematics and 2900 is not enough members to compete with anybody else in the B1G, what about that can't you understand?
Apparently it’s how your brain works bc you cannot definitively say who donates and who doesn’t, a part from swarm.

Lol your anger at our fanbase is highly entertaining.

You should go full-tilt and start posting with your real name on all the social media platforms, calling out Iowa fans the way you are on here. I'd laugh at that meltdown as well. It's all about the entertainment value. ;)

I'm a huge Iowa fan, Swarm member, 16 year FB season ticket holder also.

I see our athletic programs circling the drain solely because of lack of "real" support from monkeys like you.

Exactly. Coaching still matters. Character matters. Look at Kansas, the biggest payroll in college and they had their worst season in years and were knocked out in the first round.
Self has been heading down hill for awhile. Another year like this one, and he'll be on the hot seat....

1. How do you not get it? Shall we name power 5 coaches who coach in their home state? We can start with the Big Ten if you'd like

2. Whoever made that argument to begin with is dumb, ill give you that lol

3. A tough sell? Engage the fans for the first time in 30 years and it will be quite easy.

4. See #3

5. See #4

Concerning point #3, the tough sell has to happen now, not some time in the future after the fans have been engaged. Now is when you are trying to convince the new coach to accept the position.

Iowa will cock the whole thing up because that's what they do since Barta started.

Sorry if your saying it went right over my head. My post was in regards to Evilmonkeys chat with Rico. Thats what I respoded to.
You see...

...BrewHawk was speaking in the third person directly after your post calling people clowns who speak in the third person. Funny, right?
