The problem is that the SEC west isn't the juggernaut that most folks (read "espn") make them out to be - at least this year. Ole Miss, LSU, A&M, and Auburn are all pretty decent teams ... but they're not on the same tier as Bama this year.Nick Saban has four national titles at Alabama, but only one undefeated season. I bet they lose a game this year, which isn't that bold a prediction.
You don't have to crush a team in order to get them to quit. It has a lot to do with the makeup of the team. Iowa got crushed in the Rose Bowl and Taxslayer Bowl, but they didn't quit. They kept battling even tho pretty much everyone knew the game was out of hand. Stanford kept playing too. It's not like they took starters out or took their foot off the gas. USC laid down in that 2nd half. Bama is going to be very good but their not as good as everyone thinks right now. They will have games where the bounces go the other way. How will they respond with a true Frosh QB? Time will tell. You do realize you have to crush a team in order to get them to lay down and submit correct? Saying the 2nd half was fools gold only leads to how dominant they were in the first half.
1 IIRC, Iowa reached #1 before the Michigan game. I was there, and I'm thinking Iowa was #1 and Michigan was #2.It would be awesome to see Iowa reach the #1 spot like it did in 1985 after Rob Houtlin booted the winning field goal. I know it's unlikely, however I have seen stranger things happen, game by game men.. It could iron out that way at some point in this magical season 2
Yes & I fully expect it to happen. Just don't see anybody on our schedule that'll beat us.
Who is Kurt?Kurt is a crook.
Last years team beat nobody, got embarrassed by any team with any talent, and we all got our hopes up
