Can we agree that “If you get the vaccine you won’t get Covid” was government misinformation?

Well?

Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci.
Misinformation peddlers.

I keep asking: how old are you?

10?
12?
14?

Retarded maybe.

The vaccine was never advertised to prevent Covid. It was to mitigate conditions once contracted.

You continue to make a fool of yourself, an inevitable trait for a person incapable of keeping one's mouth shut.

What do these words mean, in your brain?

"You’re not gonna get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” - Joe Biden

This is a good example of why they call him the gaffe machine, although the Dear Leader has redefined that term entirely. The guy shouldn't speak off the cuff at a Town Hall like this because he has always lacked the discipline to be clear and accurate with his statements. It's gotten worse as he's aged and is yet another example of why words matter. He exaggerated the effectiveness of the vaccine even though in other statements in the same event he adds context regarding hospitalization and death. These were never formal statements from public health and contradicted what he was saying.

You're wrong. Demonstrably so.

The President made these statements. As the head of the most powerful country in the world. People listened and his assertions were false. His information was false. Otherwise known as misinformation.

It's amazing how gas lit some people are... they will say "nobody said the vaccine will stop infection, or stop the spread," and then without a moment of pause will say that Trump said to inject bleach into your body. That's how dumb the lefties are on here.

Are you retarded? It couldn’t be any clearer than that 🤡

COMIRNATY is a vaccine indicated for active immunization to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in individuals 12 years of age and older. (fda.gov)

I agree with the single statement being misinformation, but he literally contradicted/clarified his statement in the same event. Not the first time. Not the last. Not formal policy or position at that time.

“When people are vaccinated, they can feel safe that they are not going to get infected.” - Anthony Fauci

What is your excuse for Fauci?

“When people are vaccinated, they can feel safe that they are not going to get infected.” - Anthony Fauci

Why can’t some liberals just accept the fact that the POTUS, Joe Biden, and the administrations foremost expert doctor, Anthony Fauci, both lied to them and the American people about covid? That it is a verifiable fact.

Is denial really this powerful?

Delusional?
Brain damage?

What is it that makes them act this way?
Almost cultish.

Can we agree that “If you get the vaccine you won’t get Covid” was government misinformation?

If so, should Fauci & Biden be arrested like Harris, Walz, and Hillary Clinton suggest they should be?

The only one that I see made a misstatement was Biden. Even still I think you are way in the deep end. I do think they wanted to greatly encourage individuals getting vaccines for the community benefits. Even still Vaccines are good for the variant they are made for.

No we took the Ivermectin he suggested.

I think Biden didn't either have all the facts or lied. If he did he though it would be for the greater good situation. See I can admit it. Even still vaccines are a valuable tool in the toolbox. That you still have your panties in a wad from 4 years ago, seems a tad crazy. Now that I answered your question.

Did Trump lose the election in 2020?
Did he encourage January 6th and delay response?
Did Trump have a scheme to have illegitimate electoral votes be cast to overturn the election, but the only reason the plan did not go through is because Pence refused to sign them?
Did Trump lie about cats and dogs being taken and eaten?
Have Vance and Trump created a massive issue in springfield claiming most are illegals (when in fact legal), and creating rhetoric that has caused bomb threats in the community?
Did Trump say Ivermectin was a viable solution to fight Covid?
Did Vance say child bearing individuals should get more votes than non child bearing individuals?

No one ever said you wouldn't get it. Vaccines don't work that way.
No matter how vaccines work, Biden said it and Fauci said it. Deny it if you want, but they said it. There are videos posted above that have them clearly saying you won’t get Covid if you get the vaccine. They didn’t say you might not get it or the vaccine will prevent serious infection, they unequivocally said if you are vaccinated, you will not catch Covid. Just look at the videos posted in this thread.

The reason it is important to discuss the lies the administration told us......

They did not use the fact that the vaccine reduced severity to foist vaccines upon all of us.

I would have gotten it no matter. I believe in the vaccine for the reasons that ive stated prior. It reduces severity in some individuals, particularly those most at risk. And it did what was most important, reduced deaths in at risk individuals. I recommended to anyone that asked that they get the vaccine to give them the best shot at survival. I believe it did/does.

BUT....the administration used the false assertion that it would prevent illness as a way to force people into getting the vaccines. If you dont get it youre a bad person for putting others at risk. That was the party line. And we can force it on you because you not going to get COVID AND put others adjacent at risk.

I dont believe in forcing people to receive a medication against their will under threat of job loss or as some suggested, having health treatments withheld from the unvaccinated to give to those that were.

THAT is why this matters.

And, they way they rolled this out and didn't give the American people straight information, has now resulted in a general decrease in immunization for the illnesses we know immunizations work for. Shame.

So short sighted. All they had to do was offer the vaccines and give people the information available.

I wouldn't take issue with the cases of myocarditis that seemed to occur as a result of the vaccine IF they had simply stated we'd like you to get this vaccine. But its not tested long term yet. Then you are accepting the risk benefits willingly.

What they should have done was sell it like this:

"We think it helps. We don't know all the side effects yet but if there is any chance that it saves lives then it would be worth getting. Its available, its new, its early and Im getting it and you should too. But much will be learned in the months ahead about this and whether we will truly make a difference like we hope."

But they didnt. That is why this is an issue.

Two things can be true at the same time. The vaccine helped people. The rollout and the claims of benefit and not yet clearly established results caused harms.

There was hesitancy from many folks including those in the medical field with these vaccines. That was their issue. They needed to use the private sector to do their bidding because they couldn’t force it on people directly.

People in hospitals and doctors offices lost their jobs in a pandemic because they had reservations about it.

Then they wanted to hide all the data for 75 years until a judge told them to pound sand.

Joe was going to sign an executive order until he was given a lesson in constitutional reality.

Who said “If you get the vaccine you won’t get Covid”?
iirc (and I'm answering before reading the 2 pages), the original claim was 96% effective against contracting COVID-19. Then before they could even roll the darn thing out, variants started popping out lowering the efficacy. OP wants to rewrite history and accuse the Trump Admin of intentionally misleading the public rather than make an attempt to understand they were trying to do the best they could with the info they had at the time. The only gray area (for me) was Fauci and the mask stuff...evidence shows he knew there was some level of BS with the face diapers, but I honestly couldn't care less. I was not harmed by the face diaper.

You were close but you spelled Biden wrong..

Well...actually the good ones do work that way.
Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Polio, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, HPV, Varicella, etc...
None of those work that way. Again, do a little research. The smallpox vaccine was the most successful, with a 99.9% efficacy rate.

No vaccine is 100% effective. Not one!!!

Ahhh, my bad. I could have sworn Trump was President in November 2020. Ooops

The first efficacy rates for COVID-19 vaccines were publicly announced in November 2020:
  1. Pfizer/BioNTech: On November 9, 2020, Pfizer announced that their vaccine showed approximately 90% efficacy based on preliminary data from their Phase 3 trials.
  2. Moderna: On November 16, 2020, Moderna reported that its vaccine demonstrated about 94.1% efficacy in its Phase 3 trial.
  3. Johnson & Johnson: The efficacy data for Johnson & Johnson's vaccine was released later, on January 29, 2021, showing an overall efficacy of about 66% in preventing moderate to severe COVID-19.
The Trump administration's stance on COVID-19 vaccines in 2020 was generally supportive, emphasizing the rapid development and distribution of vaccines as a key part of their pandemic response. The administration launched the "Operation Warp Speed" initiative in May 2020, aimed at accelerating vaccine development, manufacturing, and distribution.

President Trump frequently highlighted the progress being made and expressed optimism about the availability of vaccines before the end of 2020. He encouraged Americans to get vaccinated once the vaccines were authorized, framing it as a way to return to normalcy. However, there were also mixed messages and some skepticism about the vaccine's safety and efficacy, particularly regarding the speed of its development.

Overall, while the administration promoted vaccine development, public messaging sometimes varied, leading to different levels of trust and acceptance among the public.

Neither of them said it and if those videos existed you would have posted them. The MAGA crown is ignorant. Post after post of MAGAs passing off BS as the truth.

And the reason that the smallpox vaccine was so effective is because when there was an outbreak they also had local quarantines. There's a great book called The Demon in the Freezer that opens with how Smallpox was eradicated. Medical teams and local military would quarantine entire villages, vaccinate everyone, and wait it out until the virus ran its course. It proves, without any doubt, that vaccines and quarantines work to eradicate viruses.

Including VP Harris saying she wouldn’t take the vaccine because Trump said it was good

The smallpox vaccine was highly effective, and you're right, local quarantines helped control outbreaks, especially since smallpox had clear transmission patterns. Back then medical teams could isolate communities villages relatively easily too. However, the context of quarantining during smallpox (which was before our current economic structures) was very different. Back then, shutting down a small town didn't have the same widespread economic impact as shutting down a major metropolitan area today.

Horse shit.

The statement is somewhat accurate. During the 2020 election campaign, Kamala Harris did express skepticism about taking a COVID-19 vaccine if it were approved under the Trump administration without proper oversight. She emphasized the importance of scientific integrity and the need for confidence in the vaccine's safety and efficacy, suggesting that political pressure could influence the approval process.

However, she later clarified that she would take the vaccine if it was deemed safe by scientists and public health experts, regardless of the administration's involvement. Her comments were part of a broader discussion about public trust in vaccines, particularly in light of the rapid development of COVID-19 vaccines.
