Can we try Kris at the 2?

Yes, and YES!

a line up of Rebraca/Ogundele, Keegan/Kris, PMac would certainly bolster rebounding and defense…

combined with PG JoeT/Ulis and Perk/Sandfort at SG backup

Thought about this other night. Don’t hate it at all.. or even Keegan at the 2 as I believe he’s the better defender.

Won't ever happen, but if you were going to make a change like that you'd move Patrick to the 2 and put Kris at the 3 where he's much more effective than Pmac around the glass on both ends.

I'm totally for getting more 3pt shooters on the floor. Pick any PG, then add both Murry's, PMac, and Rebraca. Sorry, but until the guards start producing points, we can't afford to have two of them on the court at the same time.

no. he scores too much and gets rebounds. we are a defensive team. need jabo in there to lock down.

I would like to see us go big - put Kris at the 2 and see if we can play defense and rebound better!
I've been wanting to see this since the beginning of the season. Solves a lot of issues with rebounding, 3 point shooting and defense. The only question would be ball handling, but Kris, Keagan and PMac are all excellent ball handlers for their size so I don't think it would be a problem.

It happened last game. It was Bohannon/P. McCaffery/Murray/Murray/Rebraca down the stretch in regulation for a few minutes.

I mean as a starting rotation as opposed to a few minutes in one game. Kris would be more effective and efficient than Pmac at the 3. Pmac prefers to play outside and bleed out instead of hitting the defensive glass. It's a win win for everyone not named Jordan.

The problem is we’re shooting it at like 35% over the last 5 games.. we need to figure out ways to score more efficiently.
Alright, Fran is definitely rubbing off on you. Good defense leads to transition points and layups.

We’re awful in transition. Also the defense has been quite a bit better and it doesn’t seem to be helping. In this 5 game stretch of offensive suck out defensive rankings has improved 64 spots per Kenpom.

To be good defensive team you have to get a high percentage of defensive rebounds to actually get stops...we got 66% vs Penn State which isn't very good. Iowa currently is ranked 241 st in NCAA in defensive rebounding percentage at 71% and I think in B1G play it has gotten worse.

PSU G. Lee with 5 offensive rebounds and 6/7 from field and 4/5 from FT line was the difference.

CMAC is a plus rebounder at the 2.... IF CMAC were able to make shots, I would play him at 2...but he has an entire career of tape saying he isn't.

i would like to see some bigger lineps with Sandfort/PMAC essentially taking the 2.

Or if we go smaller at the 2, I would go with Perkins and mabye a little Jbo. When we go small at the 2, we often
need to go bigger in the post to shore up rebounding. JoshO and Mulvey have not been as terrible as has been made out. Mulvey can block shots which helps vs penetrating teams. JoshO can be huge, which is good vs Cockburn and Purdue.

Fran's hockey lineup changeouts are ill conceived....this team is not 10 deep in quality B1G players. I think Fran committed to it because it was a way to justify CMAC as a babysitter for 2nd unit and get him 16 minute/game.
