Canceling dish tomorrow.

I wish PSVue, Hulu, Sling, etc back when Dish and BTN had their 3 week dispute (back in 2012?).

We missed the first three games. I most likely wouldn’t be a Dish customer today.

Give em hell and get what you can out of them.

I'm unhappy with Directv, mostly because they charge me way to much and they cannot seem to get my bill straight. I cancelled NFL sunday ticket last season, but for some reason they keep billing me for it this year, and I have talked to DTV customer service four times and each time they say I don't have it, yet there it is, always on my bill. So I am an inch away from cancelling with them as well.

Call and bitch and you’ll get a nice discount and a bunch of free on demand movies.

Then go to bar until the dispute is over.

I've been very close to dropping DTV on several occasions. Don't call customer service, say you want to "Cancel service" when you call in, they you'll get to the retention team. They have much more room to keep you happy than anyone else.

I'm using HuluTV too. Had Sling for a while, but it doesn't have BTN. The biggest downside for me is Hulu doesn't carry AMC. So I supplement it with Philo. Philo is another 16 bucks a month.

Dish & local provider are in contract dispute, as a result I didn't get the niu game last week & then this week ia st game was unavailable, got Hulu & every college game is on there/$40 a month compared to $117 a month for dish #neveragain
yesterday's game was on Fox. Does Hulu give you Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS live broadcasts? Or just on demand shows?

You could probably get an HD Antenna and get the OTA broadcast networks.

Been using YouTube TV for a few months now and have no complaints - well, maybe 1. Last week they showed Iowa v NIU for about 1 quarter, then switched to another game (PSU I think). That was just odd as hell.

But, got to watch it on BTN2go, so not a problem.

Using Roku Ultra, get all the local channels - $40/mo.

I have the internet and Hulu (nothing else) but cant figure out how to get BTN2GO what am I missing?

Does it have the BTN alts or just the main? Someone last week said no alts, but I haven't looked into myself.

I didn't see any alternate channels. I just happened to notice yesterday while watching the game that big 10 network was a channel option on YouTube TV. It wasn't last week. To get overflow I downloaded the big 10 to go app on roku

I tried Hulu with their free trial. I couldn't get the ESPN channels and Turner channels using an Amazon firestick. Did anyone else have a similar problem or is my firestick defective?

YouTube TV has had BTN since at least the beginning of the season

What device are you using to stream? For Apple TV the BTN overflows are inside the FoxSports App.

Frustrated with direct tv yesterday. Live in the Roch mn area and fox did not work for the entire game. Unbelievable

I had Vue for a year and while pretty good, I hated the DVR and everywhere I read said it was the best streaming service dvr. I finally signed back up with Dish and am 1 year through my 2 year contract. It's been great and I got a 2 year $80 per month for both years. Do any of the new services have a decent dvr? Once my contract is up I may try another streaming service.

I switch between media com, dish, and dtv every two years. Keeps my bill around 80 a month. Keeps me in the most current equipment as well. I’m trapped into mediacom for Internet and i don’t get the fastest download speeds.

Yeah I bitched all four times I called they finally dropped my bill $60 a month cuz I told them I was going to cancel and go with PlayStation Vue. I'm kind of wishing I would have just went ahead and cancelled went with PlayStation Vue as it seems I can still get all the same channels and pay half the amount.

You can still get Roku and add btn2go and the Fox sports channel and you might get better reception with them. I still have my Roku and I can watch both BTN and Fox Sports, but I haven't watched a game through them because I just watch it to my normal DirecTV. Of course at least a dozen times every game my DirecTV freezes for three or four seconds and I miss a play, which always seems to be a big play.

Went to DirecTV now and a HD antenna. Happy I can watch everything and save 110 dollars.

Good God, why would you get Dish in the first place.. that is full of “QVC” type chanels or home shopping network shit.. Direct TV is at least better with less garbage on it .. you should order a “Black Box” I have one and it wasn’t cheap but at least you get about 700 worthy channels .. if you want to spend $1500 it works with 4 TV’s one box and you get every single PayPerView and premium channels you can ask for plus all your local channels and it’s guaranteed for life .. if it gets zapped by your local cable company they’re guaranteed plus they’re always one step in front of the cable company.. in the 3 years I have had it I have never been zapped or had to get a replacement sent

I use my lap top, When I go to BTN2GO it says I need a service provider? Hulu is on the drop down but when clicked on nothing happens.

Download and try a different browser. Do you have a pop up or ad blocker installed? That sounds more like a browser settings problem to me.

I got so sick of it I dropped everything. I just use my phone with unlimited data and use it as a mobile hotspot as I have my computer in my living room hooked to my main TV. Reddit streams are a God send for finding streams of nearly everything. I also made a homemade antenna and attached it to the DirecTV dish in my backyard. I get perfect reception now with that.

We have Vue and it’s okay. If it’s hard wired to the internet it’s great. WiFi is not that great and we have 500mbps download speed.

So we have 3 TVs Ethernet connected and 1 w/WiFi. Vue is good but the Iowa games have not been on main channel, been on overflows even though my location is set as eastern ia.

Watched ISU game at a buddy’s house who had direct tv and the game was skipping all over the place and kept freezing. He said directs signal has gotten worse the last month.

I really liked Hulu TV, but they didn't have the BTN alternate channels (at least I couldn't find them), so I switched back to PS Vue. Vue has a lot of games on including ESPN alternate games. $50

Call direct tv...tell them your going to cancel..they transfer you to retention dept. Wheel and deal with them...say your going to mediacom or stream services...they will lower your bill...if they wont. Cancel it...someone from the department WILL call you back in a few days to see how they can keep you...i get Sunday ticket free every year doing this.
