I believe making judgements on candidates based on their "tax plans" is ridiculous. None of them are going to happen.

I hear pundits saying "this tax plan x and this tax plan is y..." and I sit there and think to myself: They're never going to be able to implement that in its stated form anyway, stop wasting time on it.

I disagree. It shows you what they value and what interests they will champion. I think we all know no president can enact any law change on their own.
Actually it allows liberal think tanks to mis represent the effects of the particular tax plan, take it back as wrong a few weeks later. Then libs keep using the fraudulent data as the cold hard truth. As far as no POTUS being able to change any law on their own, our current one has done it repeatedly . Where you been? Now if we get a Republican in, look for the Dems to refind their allegiance to rule of law. They have mis placed it the last couple years

Seriously? You don't think a candidate's intentions on taxes are important? I didn't peg you as a theologically driven voter.

As has been touched on I think it really demonstrates what these people value and how well they understand the system. It's more than just the ideas themselves - I need to know why they think we need a certain tax policy.

A flat tax is a perfect example. There are arguments that make sense, but simplifying the tax code is not a good argument for a flat tax unless you don't own a calculator.

Have to see the tax plan so we can see who is paying for free college and health insurance. The aca tax kicks my a$$ every year. Thanks Obama and to truly kick me and my partners in the nuts our health insurance jumped 37% this year. I'm sure our employees would love to pay this bump. Fortunately we foot most of it but it's just a matter of time that the greed of the handouts back fires. See unions in America and where the labor force is now - there is a reason they went overseas.
