The Luster on the Economy is going to Come Off in 2025

Biden still has the only recession to his name between them despite your cope. Enjoy those 23% price increases you think your side did good on.

While I agree we were definitely a recession in 22, I am not real sure how you can deny the 2020 recession.

OMFG. I did it myself to show how ridiculous it is. I am a douche, I'm not the dumb one here. I am so sorry this is over your head.

Glad to see you realize what douche you are. You will eventually figure out how dumb you are. If not, oh well. Slither away douche.

A lot of manufacturing came back/created in the last 4 years
President Biden more or less canceled NAFTA and the whole idea of keeping the labor in Mexico and building factories there ... or rather allowing/encouraging the building of factories there.

President Biden in his prescience was able to envision a world where we brought the labor to our shores instead.

This may be his legacy; the theft of Mexico's working class and an ever-larger discrepancy in the standard of living between the two nations. Luckily, President Biden has never been one to worry about leaving messes behind.

...............................................................

Can anyone explain what the government of Mexico thinks of this whole program? The export of workers and drugs to the U.S.? Is the wider population of Mexico on board with this stuff.
Does everyone generally agree that it is time to simply move on, abandoning their Mexican Heritage and reestablishing their family lineage in the U.S?

There does not appear to be a nationwide building boom taking place in Mexico, so the local economy appears to have adjusted to the "missing" customers and instead, is simply downsizing.

You're going off on random tangents now bc you can't dispute biden's recession or the 23% price increases democrat policies are responsible for. Neither of which occurred during trump. This is why you got spanked so badly in November. Bc only cultists buy the nonsense you're selling.
Politatard stepback, it's an unhealthy obsession with you. I worry for your well-being.

“Bidenomics” has about as much way less effect on inflation as Trump’s tax cuts..
FIFY

Not only are those tax cuts for the rich a major contributor to the deficit and debt, and not only will Rs make things worse by making them permanent, but they will compound that error by trying to cut taxes for the rich and big corporations even more in Trump's second term.

Where is this "Luster on the Economy" of which you speak?

I can see a lot of shifting in prices, imports, exports, wages, taxes, etc., going forward, but the luster on the economy is already missing.

Please do not mistake high housing prices and the associated "Wealth Effect" for "luster." That same kind of luster is all around us: Food, Gasoline, building materials, hotel rooms, dining out, even on used cars, and the list goes on and on.
Oh great. Let's argue about the definition of "luster" rather than addressing the looming problems.

Conservatives. SMH.

GDP growth, stock price growth, consumer spending, job growth, etc are all currently strong. Taxes are low. Inflation is currently low. Interest rates aren’t particularly high. US is the leader in emerging technologies. Leader in military strength. The economy overall is strong on several fronts. There are weaknesses, but overall it is strong. The worries are consumers are near tapped. Our debt is high. And appears to have no political will to address it. Wealth inequality keeps a lot of money on the sidelines in poor economic multiplier activities.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, we don’t talk about that stuff until after Jan. 20th….

I think what people are forgetting is that Trump’s ego likely won’t allow the economy to plummet during his term. By that I mean, he would be willing to pivot if his policies weren’t working. I think he’s trying to use the threat of tariffs to get other countries “in line”. Regarding deporting illegal aliens, they are going to start with those that have a criminal record, which I think all would agree with. After that, if it becomes too expensive/difficult for other “mass” deportations, then it won’t be done. However, the border will at least be closed to assimilate all those that came in during Biden’s “watch”. That’s my opinion/take on these topics.
If all of this comes to fruition, will you blast Trump for flip-flopping on all of his campaign rhetoric? He promised all of these. Or, as usual, will MAGA land find an excuse to continue to support him and his lies?

We should probably just sent Congress home then and let these greatest of innovators just tell us what to do. What could possibly go wrong?

I would much rather have one of the best capital allocators of the 21st Century review and oversee our federal budget than the self serving deceptive swamp creatures who swindled their way from $200K salaries to $250M fortunes over 40 year careers while deficit spending our country into oblivion.

PF…just a quick question for ya…who gave him his chance to become a trillionaiire?
Also, running a private business is nothing like running a government. That is one thing a lot of folks just don’t comprehend. Including you…Musk knows it but he believes he is beyond all rules.

Aldi, running a private business is nothing like running a government. That is one thing a lot of folks just don’t comprehend. Including you…Musk knows it but he believes he is beyond all rules.

eBay when they bought PayPal for $1.5B in 2002. Musk’s shares were worth $165M.

He then spent that money founding and creating two of the most iconic businesses in American history. SpaceX & Tesla.

When Musk joined up with Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, they had no money, no product, no employees, no IP, the company was just an idea at that point. Musk funded 99.7% of the first cash raise for the business. Without him, the company would not exist today.

Also there seem to be a lot of rule breakers in the Biden Administration. The grifting and widespread graft is totally out of control. Why doesn’t that seem to bother you at all?

The stock market is going to slow down and correct at some point in the very near future didn't matter who was elected. The Buffet index is higher than 1999 and the dot com pull back.

We will be fair, if this does indeed happen. If Trump is in office, it shall be 100% his fault…. Just as inflation was directly related to Biden and his policies.
Fair is fair…at HROT everyone is FAIR!

Tesla already existed

The Buffett Indicator (aka, Buffett Index, or Buffett Ratio) is the ratio of the total United States stock market to GDP.

As of September 30, 2024 the ratio values are:

Total US Stock Market Value = $60.86T
Annualized GDP = $29.24T

Buffett Indicator = $60.86T / $29.24T = 208%

This ratio fluctuates over time since the value of the stock market can be very volatile, but GDP tends to grow much more predictably. The current ratio of 208% is approximately 66.62% (or about 2.2 standard deviations) above the historical trend line, suggesting that the stock market is Strongly Overvalued relative to GDP.

This graph in your link is quite telling.

The Biden admin certainly isn't perfect but it doesn't seem to stand out. The first Trump admin was worse, and his 2nd term actually advertises out loud that it will be corrupt.

I don't know where the tipping point is - beyond which corruption will be out of control - but my bet is we'll cross that line in a big way under Trump47 and Vance48.

I hope I'm wrong. The world doesn't need a banana republic with 334 million people, the world's most powerful military, thousands of nukes, and a government that can't say no to oligarchs.
