I would suggest it's not the arena, not the facility, but the great Hawkeye fans who fill it up every game that has earned this ranking. What is it--a nation's best 41 home sellouts in a row?
Yes, it’s the fan support. Because no one in their right mind would rank CHA as a top notch facility.I would suggest it's not the arena, not the facility, but the great Hawkeye fans who fill it up every game that has earned this ranking. What is it--a nation's best 41 home sellouts in a row?
No, it really isn't.It’s the product on the court.
You serious? The women’s team has played for the national the last 2 years. They just beat the third ranked team. Big difference in product and fan perception. No, it really isn't.
There are a lot of factors involved, that I'm not going to go into.
But it doesn't really make sense to say it's just a product issue. The women are only .500 in conference play. And in no way is women's basketball ever a better product than men's basketball
I guess the last couple seasons for the women increased season ticket sales. But that does not account for the difference in attendance between the two teams. You serious? The women’s team has played for the national the last 2 years. They just beat the third ranked team. Big difference in product and fan perception.
Perfect example of the quote "It is better to keep your mouth shut & be thought of as a fool, than to open one's mouth & remove all doubt".No, it really isn't.

It's not the arena, it's the WBB fan base compared to other WBB fan bases in the B1G.I would suggest it's not the arena, not the facility, but the great Hawkeye fans who fill it up every game that has earned this ranking. What is it--a nation's best 41 home sellouts in a row?
No shit. I'm aware of what the rankings pertain to.It's not the arena, it's the WBB fan base compared to other WBB fan bases in the B1G.
Eyes of Hawk has outdone himself again...hard as that is to believe.

Noticeable omission of a half-full Carver Saturday for the men's game, even though it was a win.
wonder if #3 has anything to do with the first 2You’re fighting a losing battle on this board.
Three things are to blame for the downfall of the men’s program: the coaches, the administration, and the fair weather fans.
From what I can tell, none of those three groups want to take any accountability for their share in the problem.
- The coaches refuse to change and prioritize defense,
- the administration refuses to change and fire Fran/invest in the gameday experience, and
- the fans refuse to change and actually support the program more than they have for the past decade
Chicken and egg.wonder if #3 has anything to do with the first 2

Wrestling is hot at Iowa. Women’s basketball is still pretty hot post Caitlyn.
