Boom! Keep it rolling baby. Welcome aboard Anthony Cassioppi! I think he is a very good hwt prospect. Can't wait to see his progression with Telford/Stoll/Berhow/Costello in the room. Could even potentially add F. Duggan into that mix. #28 overall in class of 2018. Very good addition to the class!

You guys will be very very pleasantly surprised with how good Cassioppi is. Constantly attacks and scores like a lightweight. He's undervalued at 28 in the class.

You're acting like the hawks settled for something here, they didnt. Cassioppi is huge get, with all the upside of of the two you wanted.
I believe quite similar. 6' tall, maybe not as much "bad weight" as Stoll out of HS.
I have been very impressed with the video I have seen of him. Wrestles similar to Stoll but with probably more leg attacks. Wrestles hard and is able to control the mat and moves guys around well, like Stoll. Even in this loss to Gremmel in Fargo finals you can see the HUGE potential. .
I really like this get instead of going after a guy with full ride football offers on the table and waiting around hoping we can land Schultz.
Also, he is just a pup. He got horsed in this match in a couple situations but you can tell he is athletic and has room get bigger/stronger.

Not completely sure but I would be surprised if anyone had Stoll out of the top 20.

Great pickup for Iowa Hawkeyes. Cassioppi is certainly one of the finest heavyweights I have seen in Illinois high school wrestling, and without question the most exciting heavyweight I’ve seen in Illinois. The Hawkeye faithful are going to love this kid, one h-ll of a catch, great wrestler, and great kid. This is a real blow to the Northwestern program.
Cassioppi has some get up and go for a 285. I like the way he attacks. Also a 4.0 student so possibly taking up less $$$ if he gets some academic aid as well.
I'm guessing they can teach him technique, but it also looks like the kid is naturally always on the attack, so look out...

Just read that Dresser and ISU flew to Mr. Cass on July 1 as a top priority. Always good to get a gem and keep it away from ISU...
Outside of flipping the UW/LaCrosse recruit and Lara, the ISU recruiting to date has been rather underwhelming. Some ISU faithful apparently don't realize how far down the ladder the program has fallen.
There might be a suicide watch if Teske doesn't end up in Ames.
The marketing guys in my company always go on about not wanting to have a "me too" product.
Most I've talked to, I live 30 miles N of Ames so I know plenty, realize the depths of the hole KJ put them in...
