Looking lean and mean. Going with a smaller, more athletic approach this year?
Obviously photoshopped. His genetics wouldn't allow for that type of transformation.
Right, @vhsalum? 🤣 🤣🤣
Cass is the definition of outworking your genetics. He's just a fat kid through and through. He lifts and has been consistent since he's been on campus. His body radically changed during his 1s year.
I see Bull finishing the job as well. I'm not sure Eierman ever beats Lee again. His progression from Big Tens to NCAAs and to the Olympic Team Trials was impressive. He beat Zain and Yianni. He's jump levels in a 4 week span.
For those wondering what JRod is referring too....
I don’t understand why you look at this tweet and think he’s smaller.
sameI just came here to post this pic. Looks like his physique has really transformed since he was a freshman. Mine has too but unfortunately in the opposite direction.
He looks definitely to have added muscle mass.I don’t understand why you look at this tweet and think he’s smaller.
CAn we get Warner on this workout routine?
Yes. Battle will be for second.muscle does weigh more than fat but he looks to be beyond that initial body composition change and really transformed his body...... in a really good way...... can’t wait to see him and Parris go at it now...... I’ve lost track is Gable wrestling this year in college or not?
guess we’ll see 😎🥃 those are my Hawk colored glassesYes. Battle will be for second.
Very well said. It's extremely difficult to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time because adding muscle (tissue of any kind) almost always requires a caloric surplus. The one exception are beginners who have never trained seriously before, and we know Cass is not one of those. The reason why weightlifting while losing weight is important is that it helps you maintain as much muscle as possible while dropping weight which will make you look more muscular in the end even though you likely have slightly less muscle than when you started.I have seen several posts about muscle weighing more than fat, so I'm not going to reply to anyone specifically. But Big Tone, had a lot of muscle last year. I would be surprised if he has added any more muscle this year. It appears from the picture, that he has just gotten leaner and we are seeing the muscles he had a lot better. Those muscles have also gotten leaner (picture a ribeye vs a sirloin that is what I am referring to).
He was always a good athlete for a big man, it will be interesting to see how much he has improved athletically or if his athleticism was what it was and he is just a little faster now (picture the scramble he had with Mason Parris where he ended up on his back, can he now scramble with Mason or is Mason a superior athlete). His improved speed difference could keep him out of bad positions like that though even if he still lacks that Gable/Mason athleticism.
This is a really impressive transformation, I don't care how old you are when you make it. This would require a complete diet overhaul, more cardio driven focus, while still getting plenty of strength training in. A total life commitment! It does not appear like he is a shrunken down version of who he was, it appears like he is in excellent physical condition and still strong enough to muscle his way through some moves at heavy weight.
This indicates to me, that he (with the help of some outside sources: coaches, family, ect) did some real introspection on his deficiencies as it relates to the 2 best at his weight and he was very honest with himself that he could not catch them using the same approach.
I am so impressed by this on a lot of fronts. Really excited for this young man. Whether it makes up the difference or not, this is really impressive.
That's a great point. I really had not thought of this as it translates to his mat wrestling. Obviously the loss of weight will help him on his feet, but at heavy weight a lot of matches are determined on the mat. Can he still ride as hard? How about getting out from underneath, carrying 10-15 less lbs, definitely makes you quicker, but it also likely makes you a little weaker (weight moves weight how many lean power lifters do you see?). Can he get out from underneath a big fella?I'm very curious to see what his style looks like. I think he'll definitely be lighter on his feet. I just hope he's still able to punish people on the mat the same way. That was a huge part of his game.
I would agree. He is/was pretty agile for his size IMO. He's a damn good HWT. Very happy he's a Hawk and always have been. He's always had muscle, and wasn't very fat. But I think he did two things in the offseason, that is, took off fat and also added muscle.

This is crazy. If he loses a couple more pounds we might start seeing some abs. Powerlifter physique right thereHe's always had muscle, and wasn't very fat. But I think he did two things in the offseason, that is, took off fat and also added muscle.

So, he’s now a BAMF4?He was a BAMF. Now he is more of a BAMF.
Fat takes up more room than muscle which is what I assume everyone means by "muscle weighs more than fat."

He looks great! I'm curious what his overall weight is now and how much this change in physique will effect his quickness. It can't hurt!
