Agreed, that was the first movie I recall seeing her in, she was great.

She married far, far below herself.
To be honest, she couldn't have done otherwise.
Recent photos of CZJ show that she hasn't aged very well. She's a heavy smoker and her face shows it. She was a stunning beauty in her day.
She was already starting to lose her hotness when she starred in "Chicago". Her age and little extra weight (she'd recently had a baby) were perfect for her role in that movie. She ended up with an Oscar for her efforts.
After that, good movie roles started to dry up for her.
It's a quandry for starlets. As they hit their 40's they can go 'skinny' and look like a hot mannequin (Angelina Jolie) or go the Botox route and look MILFY.
In terms of looks and age, yes. But marrying one of the most powerful men in Hollywood wasn’t a bad career move.
