My suspicion is that at this particular moment in time both Biden and Trump see value in closing this deal before 1/20,... Israel needs the US on it's side no matter who is in charge, and right now all the powers that matter want a deal...

Right, probably has nothing to do with Trump announcing that “there will be hell to pay if Gaza hostages aren’t released by day 1”. . I’m sure it’s probably just a coincidence that this is suddenly going down less than a week before Big 47 takes office. Sleepy Joe just took 15 months to get around to it. It's a simple question. What can Trump do that hasn't already been done? Why would Hamas watch 80% of Gaza get reduced to rubble then suddenly get scared when the guy who gave Afghanistan to the Taliban makes an empty threat?
