Best place to get some snow tires off TireRack.com mounted? By best I mean cheapest but properly balanced and a fair chance the lug nuts aren't going to come off 5 miles down the road.

Do I have this right? You bought your tire online and want a brick & mortar shop to mount them on the cheap for you?

The way to do it is to take the TireRack.com price to a store and see if they'll match it. Many will.

When I used to work for a company that made tires, I purchased off Tire Rack and had Meineke Car Care put them on. I believe that are a Tire Rack authorized installer now.

I knew I was providing too much info, that you guys were going to get hung up on the wrong details :p

For the curious, I chose a $250 gift card to TireRack.com from a comparable selection of incentive bonuses from work for my team delivering three months early on a project scheduled to deliver by Jan 1. I found the tires I wanted, Blizzak DM-V1s, and being as they were on sale, I decided I would order them at that time and have them sent straight to me and figure out where to mount them later since you don't want to mount Blizzaks until it's fairly cold. I figured I'd wait until the Saturday after Thanksgiving but that plan is being moved up by mother nature. It's been 15 years or more since I've tried to have snow tires mounted somewhere - there is very little snow in either Florida or The Philippines - and it is a WAY different ball game these days apparently. The cheapest I've found is going to be about $70 @WalMart. Big surprise but I should have known. And suffice to say, when I think quality service, I don't really think Wal Mart. I was hoping someone might have some experience in this area and might know a better option. Otherwise I guess I'll be sitting at Wal Mart all day Saturday after the Purdue game.

When spring comes around I'll buy some decent after market rims and new all-seasons, probably locally, and then make whoever I buy them from swap them out for me in the future.
