Here’s what Trump’s deportation plans could mean for Iowans

If illegals are such productive members of society, why are the hotels in New York City filled with them?

Because the hotels can underpay them, overcharge you for a room, and make extra mucho "bank" in the process.

Again, why do these illegal people need a place to stay (on U.S. taxpayer's dime) if they are productive members of society?

The hotels are forced to accept less for the illegals, than what the consumer is willing to pay:

I want to give these dumbasses exactly what they voted for. They want to see mass deportation, give them mass deportation and let the results speak for themselves.
We had crops rotting in the Florida fields his last term, let them rot again
Then tell the people on food stamps that they can go pick their own food if they want to eat. And pick ours too while they are at it.

Rico….I worked in or near a large metro ER in DSM for over 30 years. What you said about “no English” is is pure bullshit. The vast majority of customers speak English or have interpreters interacting with staff. The “problem” patients (language barriers) were mostly central and Eastern Europeans but they were infrequent and interpreters were usually found from on-duty hospital staff. Plus, for my time in, I worked mostly 3-11p or 11p-7a shifts when EDs are their busiest.
Rico, you can bullshit a bullshitter but you can’t bullshit me with your MAGA hatred and fear-mongering. Try again.
You go, joel.

Regarding the alleged 10's of thousands living in Iowa, 99.9% of them don't carry health insurance they just clog the ER's and really injured people must wait for care.

Our health as a State will be much better off without them clogging up the ER's.

In addition, 99.9% of them do not have drivers' licenses or vehicle insurance so the roads will be safer, and you won't be left holding the bill when one destroys your car and injures you in an accident.

I see only positives for Iowans and what's good for Iowa is good for the Nation.
They said in the article that the negative impact of the arrests far outweighed the positive impact to American citizens. Unfortunately for you it doesnt match your opinion which you pass often as fact.

Again more MAGA-rightwing. Bullshit from Rico. When you read “shit” you learn shit…that’s probably why Rico, you are shit for brains.

Hahaha. You’re quoting the NY Post? Are you aware that’s it’s a national inquirer type of paper?

It’s only good for sports. That’s the only reason people buy it. It gives the betting line for everything.

It is not nor ever has been considered a reputable news source.

Who is they?

I want to help undocumented immigrants get legal status
rather than any mass deportation from the state of Iowa.
Those who have criminal records and are a threat to society
are a different problem. But that does not seem to be an
issue in Iowa at the present time. The 40,000 undocumented
workers in Iowa have jobs and contribute to their communities.
I believe this is what will happen. It has been stated over and over they will go after criminals first. Trump has said they need to find a way to legalize them. Illegals who have lived here for years and fully incorporated into the county will not be sent home

You're lying.

86% of all SNAP benefits go to elderly, disabled and children. If you want to push them out in the fields have at it.
The Goodwill seeks to find employment for the disabled, farmwork would be nice for them. All kids should have some type of job. Many elderly seek parttime work.

Sounds like a winner to me.

You're lying.
There were times when I wish I was…but there is a reality to everyone’s life that must be admitted. 30+ years with a hospital system is a long time. I’d estimate that 60% was spent in the EDs and MH units there. I saw a lot… first hand. Your “language claim” Rico just doesn’t hold water… in DSM anyway. Either does your insurance claim. Altho that is a bit more accurate than the language BS you spewed.

25% of the food stamp recipients identify as being disabled.

40% of the food stamp recipients are children.

77% of the food stamp recipients are elderly, disabled, and/or children. There are 42 million people collecting food stamps.

That means 9.66 million people who are collecting food stamps, are not elderly, disabled, or children.

That sounds fair and nice. Not really how Trump has operated in the past. I guess we'll see.

trump's comments are all over the place (shocking, i know)

he wants to end birthright citizenship and deport children (US citizens) born here to undocumented parents

but he also says he's willing to work with democrats to legalize dreamers

That's some fantastic comedy there! Good one!
So you don't have any links to show the immense number of posters on "this board" making the claims asserted by you. Because I've been around here since I was a freshman at UI 20 years ago and I've never seen someone say "high prices are great if wages are higher."

Then you aren't paying attention.

If what you're claiming is a common theme and belief here, you should be able to easily provide links to a half dozen of such remarks since they have been occurring for "the last few years," as you say. Otherwise you're making shit up. My quick search yielded nothing, so any time you want to back up your nonsense, I'm here for it.

LOL - Get rid of the illegal trash and we increase treatment times in our ER's by hours. Our crime rates drop instantly. Our health and auto insurance rates plummet. The quality of life in America soars.

More bullshit and fear-mongering and race baiting from my MAGA friends in general and RICO in particular. You have no facts, no evidence to back up your hateful statement my friend. None.

If you don't want to open your eyes I'm not going to do it for you. You can't tell me you haven't been reading FOR YEARS on here about inflation not being bad because wages were higher.
