Watch Uthoff from the 43 second mark. That looks like a determined leader looking to prove everyone wrong. He looks fired up and ready to play another 40 minutes. He also looks like that in the tunnel at the end.

Something else I found encouraging among the freshmen is that they were all joining in, especially Fleming.

Couldn't getvthe video to work on my smart phone. But I love that Fleming is keeping his head up and not letting the lack of PT get to him. Same goes for the others, Moss, Hutton and Williams. I think this program is starting to turn into what Bo Ryan had at Wiscy. He would bring in talented guys, redshirt them or sit them while the upper class men played. If the program is good enough, the team wins enough, and the players that Fran recruits are patient enough....it could work. I hope were beginning to see that. Baer is proof of how much a kid can benefit from a RS year.

Hats off to the Hawks. I expected them to get throttled in the Breslin Center with Valentine back, and they sure proved me wrong. They showed some serious grit in the second half by shutting down any MSU runs and maintaing the big lead. Great team win, and super for team morale.

Love seeing that emotion from JU. He seems so calm and in control but it is cool to see that come out every now and then. His interviews lately, his on the court game and his emotion after are showing his confidence is building and building. Just another year where you see a Hawk senior take their game to another level under Fran.
