Title is poorly worded, but you know what I mean.

For me it has to be Chevy Chase. Seems Iike a funny, likable guy in all his films, but by all accounts he’s a miserable prick in real life.

How about you?

“Home Alone” director Chris Columbus said during an interview with Vanity Fair that it was ultimately Chevy Chase who opened the door for him to helm the 1990 Christmas comedy classic. That’s because Columbus was originally working with screenwriter John Hughes on 1989’s “Christmas Vacation,” starring Chase. Columbus was hired to direct the comedy and was in the middle of second unit shooting when he met Chase for the first time.

“I was signed on…and then I met Chevy Chase. Even given my situation at the time, where I desperately needed to make a film, I realized I couldn’t work with the guy,” Columbus said. “I was one of the many who couldn’t work with him. And I called John and I said, ‘This is really hard for me, but I can’t do this movie with Chevy Chase.’ We were in the midst of shooting second unit. We didn’t start shooting the movie or building sets. But it was December, so I had to go to downtown Chicago and shoot all of the department stores and all of that. I had two meetings with Chevy.”

“My first meeting with him, I sat down with him. It was just the two of us,” Columbus continued. “He had to know I was directing the movie. I talked about how I saw the movie, how I wanted to make the movie. He didn’t say anything. I went through about a half hour of talking. He didn’t say a word. And then he stops and he says—and this makes no sense to any human being on the planet, but I’m telling you. I probably have never told this story. Forty minutes into the meeting, he says, ‘Wait a second. You’re the director?’ And I said, ‘Yeah…I’m directing the film.’ And he said to me the most surreal, bizarre thing. I still haven’t been able to make any sense out of it. He said, ‘Oh, I thought you were a drummer.’ I said, ‘Uhh, okay. Let’s start talking about the film again.’ After about 30 seconds, he said, ‘I got to go.'”

I just got done reading that article like 5 minutes ago. I was gonna mention him/csb

I had not heard that.

Maybe if you hadn’t picked an Irish R&B singer for a poster name he’d be cooler to you.

How about Bill Cosby???

Bill Cosby has likely raped hundreds of women...maybe more. He's pure evil.

Another celebrity I've read bad things about is Bill Nye the Science Guy. I read a bunch of stories on Reddit from people that interacted with him and they all said bad things.

My sister (no pics) used to do PR in New York and worked with Celine Deion and said she was a diva. Not totally surprising. lol

Another celebrity I heard is a huge douche is Michael Richards who played Kramer in "Seinfeld."

I used to work with a guy who I trusted and he said he had a buddy who was in Hollywood or NYC and was making a movie and he interviewed Michael Richards for a part and he told Richards he would pay him $1 million dollars and Richards got up and walked out without saying anything. This was before his racist rant.

CSB.

I dont know any celebrities
I worked at the englert between 2010-2015, and I was lucky to meet quite a few of the entertainers that came through. Most were just decent, not particularly nice, but never really mean. Most were just forgettable. Quite a few were incredibly nice, actually. I remember a lot more of them being nice than being rude.

Who stood out and why?

Both.

Need deets, plz.
Ummm. For David Cross, I was asked to deliver something to him. I just assumed he knew it was coming. So I brought him his thing, and I just tried to be like "hey I'm a big fan, and we're all happy you're here tonight." and he was just kind of rude about it. Like a major dick. I was kind of shocked. Like it takes no effort to be like "thanks."

After the Head and The Heart played there, we started calling them All Head No Heart.

Drew Carey was real cool. So was Jad Abumrad from Radiolab. So was Mike Birbiglia. There was also this canadian country singer named Bacia Bulat and she was so ****ing cool. Surprisingly, Father John Misty... real cool. He DJ'd our afterparty and was a ****ing blast.

Can't say I've encountered TV/movie celebrities. But I have met a ton of professional athletes/coaches and politicians.

I can tell you: Bert Bielema is a douchebag; John McCain was one of the kindest people I met, still believe Hillary is a robot but she was pleasant, Acie Earl is always trying to sell you something, and 24601 was wrongfully convicted. We'll see who can guess the number sequence without googling.

Also: Bill Murray is coming to central Iowa

Gordon Ramsey sat next to me in a polaris lounge at ord once and was really really nice. I was in a remote corner and guessing he wanted to be a little away from others also.
Talked family , hating travel except for meeting people, etc.

Same! Thought it would make an interesting topic.

I saw Chevy Chase on stage in downtown Washington D.C. around 2010. It was on 420, I think.

My friend and I were illegally smoking a joint in the crowd and I remember Chevy doing a hand signal thing like he was smoking a joint because he could smell it in the crowd.

I saw Dave Attell live in D.C. in 2008 then said "Hi" to him for one second afterwards at his reception line and he seemed friendly.
I saw him after a show at a bar on a weekday in CR. It was during the time he was doing Insomniac, but he obviously wasn't filming in the middle of Iowa in the winter but he was really friendly and bought Jager shots for everyone in the bar. CSB

No lie about Acie. Bielema was very nice when he was working at Quail Creek in college. The guy I golfed with was buddies with him though.
