Zach Johnson got 9th at The Masters (Augusta) this year. Jordan Spieth won both majors prior to this weekend.
The winner of The Open is proclaimed the "Champion Golfer of the Year" by the Brits
Because they're that bloody good to win at St. Andrews!
Rhetorical about the courses and that's what he's now called in Europe, 'til the next Open Championship.

Our golf team didn't win a national championship. This is more like a former football player winning the super bowl and posting it on the golf board.
Seriously? It's been a few years but Zach did post here a couple of times.
The dude has won at arguably the two great venues in golf, he's from Cedar Rapids, and an Iowa fan as much as us.
He deserves his due anywhere based on those wins alone.
